‘Strange Magic’ Teaser Poster Released

'Strange Magic'Walt Disney Studios and Lucasfilm have released the first teaser poster for Strange Magic (January 23, 2015) which you can see here.

Strange Magic, a new animated film from Lucasfilm Ltd., is a madcap fairy tale musical inspired by ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream.’ Popular songs from the past six decades help tell the tale of a colorful cast of goblins, elves, fairies and imps, and their hilarious misadventures sparked by the battle over a powerful potion. Lucasfilm Animation Singapore and Industrial Light & Magic bring to life the fanciful forest turned upside down with world-class animation and visual effects. Directed by Gary Rydstrom from a story by George Lucas, Strange Magic will be released by Touchstone Pictures on January 23, 2015.

CONFIRMED: Disneyland to Get Night-Time Parade for 60th Anniversary

'Paint the Night' Concept ArtShortly after the holiday pixie dust settles and Main Street, USA sparkles from being thoroughly cleaned by soap snow, the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California will begin prepping for a brand new night-time parade to begin during its 60th anniversary year.

The confirmed news comes way of two recently posted casting calls for both male and female dancers with auditions taking place the second week of January, 2015 (a start date for the parade itself was not provided). Although vague on details, the notices are looking to find ‘performers with strong dancing skills for an exciting and high-energy nighttime parade that winds its way through the heart of Disneyland Park.’ ‘Strong movement and dance skills’ are required.

WATCH: ‘Galavant’ Butt-Clenching Theme Song Kinetic Lyric Video

Once upon a time, the dashing hero, Galavant (Joshua Sasse), lost the love of his life, Madalena (Mallory Jansen), to the evil King Richard (Timothy Omundson). Now, our fallen hero is ready to take revenge and restore his ‘happily ever after.’ But it won’t be without a few twists and turns along the way. ‘Galavant’ will premiere on Sunday, January 4 at 8:00 pm ET/PT with two 30 minute episodes, back-to-back on the ABC Television Network. The eight episode series will run through Sunday nights in January.

‘Recovery Road’ Book-Inspired Drama Ordered by ABC Family

ABC Family has picked up a new scripted drama to series ‘Recovery Road,’ announced today by Karey Burke, Executive Vice President, Programming and Development, ABC Family.

Based on the popular young adult novel by Blake Nelson, ‘Recovery Road’ focuses on a teenage girl dealing with addiction. Maddie has a reputation as a party girl who doesn’t think she has a problem, until she’s confronted one day by her school guidance counselor and is forced to choose between expulsion and rehab. Maddie makes the difficult decision to live with other recovering addicts at a rehab facility while facing the daily pressures of her teenage life.

‘Big Hero 6′ Manga to be Published in March 2015

'Miles from Tomorrowland'Along with recent casting news that Olivia Munn will be assuming the role of Mom /aka/ Captain Phoebe Callisto, Disney Junior has released a full trailer for ‘Miles from Tomorrowland,’ premiering in February 2015. You can find the new trailer embedded below.

Set in outer space, the series charts the missions of the Callisto family – 7-year-old Miles, big sister Loretta and their scientist parents Phoebe and Leo, who work for the Tomorrowland Transit Authority.
