Radio Disney Launches New Daily Feature ‘N.B.T.: Making it Big’ Featuring Allstar Weekend

Radio Disney will launch a new multi-platform daily programming feature, ”N.B.T.: Making It Big,” chronicling the rise of Allstar Weekend, the inaugural year “N.B.T.” (“Next Big Thing”) finalists now signed to Hollywood Records. Premiering on WEDNESDAY, MARCH 17, “N.B.T.: Making It Big” provides audiences on-air, online and via mobile devices an inside look at what it takes to make it big in the music industry. “N.B.T.: Making It Big” will take Radio Disney and Disney Channel audiences behind the scenes of Allstar Weekend’s journey leading up to the June 22 release of their debut album on Hollywood Records. Featuring details on how they first formed their band and became “N.B.T.” artists to what they love most about recording sessions, photo shoots, and making music videos, “N.B.T.: Making It Big” will give audiences a first-hand perspective into the lives of these rising stars.

NatureSweet® Cherubs® Tomatoes is teaming up with Radio Disney to support the companion to the network’s hit series, “N.B.T.” (“Next Big Thing”). The integrated marketing program will offer NatureSweet consumers and Radio Disney’s 22.2 million listeners free digital music downloads, an interactive talent contest and family-friendly local events. NatureSweet will provide on-pack digital music downloads on over 9 million units featuring hit songs from Allstar Weekend and last year’s “N.B.T.” winner Jasmine Sagginario. NatureSweet will also host a talent contest at CherubsTomatoes.com, where consumers are invited to submit videos of themselves performing a talent for a chance to win a trip to Los Angeles to meet Allstar Weekend. Additionally, NatureSweet will reach Radio Disney’s kids and moms through national on-air media, exposure on Radio Disney.com, and 18 local events in top markets including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and San Francisco with music, games and NatureSweet product samples.

A dedicated “N.B.T.: Making It Big” destination both online and on mobile (RadioDisney.com/MIB) will feature a wide variety of video content including interviews, performances and behind-the-scenes footage. Additionally, fans are invited to stream music online, enter a sweepstakes for a chance to meet the band in person, and submit questions to the band at RadioDisney.com or via text messages. Allstar Weekend will post video answers to the most popular questions.

The Hollywood Records quartet, including Zach (vocals), Nathan (guitar, vocals), Cameron (bass), and Michael (drums), is currently working on their upcoming album scheduled to be released in June. Their hit single “Journey to the End of My Life” made the Radio Disney Top 30 Countdown 15 consecutive weeks in 2009. Their new single, “A Different Side of Me,” recently Planet Premiered on Radio Disney and will be featured on Radio Disney Jams 12, releasing March 30 on Walt Disney Records. In concert, Allstar Weekend has shared the stage with artists including Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber, and will be kicking off their Verizon “Experience The Magic Tour” free shows on Saturday, March 6 in their hometown of San Diego.

“N.B.T.” is Radio Disney’s daily multi-platform programming feature that puts the spotlight on young unsigned recording artists and provides them with national broadcast and online exposure. Epcot to Launch Community Garden and Instant Win Contest for Florida Residents March 8

Beginning March 8, Florida residents can head to EPCOTGARDENCONTEST.COM and enjoy two ways to celebrate Epcot’s annual International Flower and Garden Festival.

Through an Instant Win online game, Walt Disney World will be giving 54 pairs of 4 Day Dream Passes (good for one theme park per day, valid from 3/8/10 – 3/26/10 and 4/10/2010 – 5/25/2010). All entrants will also then have the opportunity to compose an original essay nominating a non-profit organization to receive the grand prize of a custom designed garden by Disney’s own professional horticulturists. ABC Launches ‘LOST’ Fan Promo Contest; Winner to Attend Series’ Finale Party

With less than three months until the final episode of “Lost,” ABC celebrates the series’ dedicated fans, providing them with the opportunity to become a part of “Lost” history. Sponsored by Kia Motors, the Ultimate “Lost” Fan Promo Contest gives fans the tools to express and share their passion for the groundbreaking hit drama series through the production of an original promo which will air on the ABC Television Network the week prior to the highly anticipated finale, airing on a special night, Sunday, May 23 (9:00-11:00 p.m.), preceded by a recap special from 8:00-9:00 p.m. ET, on ABC.

“For the past six years, the fans of ‘Lost’ have shown extreme passion and unwavering commitment. ABC.com has made available a robust archive of pre-cleared “Lost” assets including video, still images, music, sound bites and special effects audio that fans can use to create their pieces. Additionally, the site is offering an online mash-up tool that can be used to create videos. Original promos can be uploaded to ABC.com through March 21, 2010. The top creative and original entries that promote the series’ finale will be evaluated by a special panel of judges, including “Lost” executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, as well as executives from ABC Entertainment. Once the top five videos are selected by the special panel, fans will be able to go to ABC.com April 19 through April 23 to cast their vote for the Grand Prize winner.
