Disney Channel to Begin Production on ‘Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam’ with Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers
Disney Channel will begin production later this summer on “Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam,” the sequel to the hit Disney Channel Original Movie “Camp Rock,” with Demi Lovato, Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas reprising their starring roles. Joining the cast are Matthew “Mdot” Finley and Chloe Bridges. Also returning to the sequel’s cast are Meaghan Martin, Alyson Stoner, Anna Maria Perez de Tagle, Roshon Fegan, Daniel Fathers and Maria Canals-Barrera. “Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam” is scheduled to premiere in 2010 on Disney Channel.

The movie will be directed by DGA Award-winning director Paul Hoen (Disney Channel’s “Jump In!” and “The Cheetah Girls One World”) and choreographed by Rosero McCoy (“Step Up”). The script was written by Dan Berendsen (Disney’s “Hannah Montana The Movie,” “Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie” and “The Cheetah Girls One World”) and the writing team of Karin Gist (“One Tree Hill,” “Jump In!”) and Regina Hicks (“Girlfriends,” “Jump In!”).
BURBANK, Calif., June 24 — Jonas Brothers’ Lines, Vines and Trying Times debuts at # 1 on the Billboard Top 200 today, selling nearly 250,000 units, a mere ten months after their third studio album A Little Bit Longer debuted at the top of the charts. “Jonas Day,” a programming event dedicated to the multi-platinum recording artists and TV stars the Jonas Brothers, will be presented TUESDAY, JUNE 16 (10:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel. Disney stars Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato are among the 29 young stars participating in outreach messages to debut on Disney Channel, Disney XD, Radio Disney and Disney.com. The Disney’s Friends for Change: Project Green initiative invites young people to join together to help the environment across four key areas: climate, water, waste and habitats. Kids will learn practical ways to preserve the planet, track their collective impact and have the opportunity to vote on how $1 million in donations from Disney will be divided and invested in various environmental causes over the course of a year.
