Kids can direct donations to provide medical help, build safe places or protect the earth. Using mathematical and engineering fundamentals, students can construct exciting virtual roller-coasters, pilot jet-fighter planes, or race bobsleds that dip, dive and swerve through loops, turns and rolls.</p><p>Online users can also take advantage of added functionality such as posting their personal ride creations on Facebook and sharing them with friends. You can start typing the recipients names in a box and it will search/match for you). After you&#8217;ve selected your recipient(s), visit their virtual homes and choose a virtual Disney gift. There&#8217;s also a Goofy wheel option which leaves it all to chance, including special Goofy treats (itchy sweater, anyone?). Give and receive gifts often and you&#8217;ll eventually unlock other items in your collection. To whet my anticipating appetite just a lot more, the domain soon led to a site that simply read &#8216;Welcome to the Disney Vault.&#8217; Fast forward to this morning, when <a href="http://www.stitchkingdom.com/external/Vaultomatic_com/18285/2">Vaultomatic.com</a> led to &#8212; of all things &#8212; the Vaultomatic.</p><p>An darlingly cute and impressive interactive flash-based site, the <a href="http://www.stitchkingdom.com/external/Vaultomatic/18285/3">Vaultomatic</a> allows visitors to choose from one of three vault types &#8212; chest, piggy [bank] or safe via a lever which seemingly remotely directs Gyro Gearloose of <em>Uncle Scrooge</em> fame to select the desired vault type. The next step involves giving the vault a desired paint scheme or texture (the chest in Mickey Mouse colors is shown here), followed by choosing a security option which ranges from Disney characters such as Pluto in security guard gear to the Cheshire Cat from <em>Alice in Wonderland</em> to the little green army men from Disney/Pixar&#8217;s <em>Toy Story</em> to more traditional and not-so-traditional items such as cameras, a bell jar, lasers to pixie dust and encrusting it in jewels (hiding in plain site?).</p><p>The last step is to save the custom vault, but doing so just resets the app and offers up a bit of SQL queries designed to do the dirty work. Obviously the site is not yet ready for the public to use, but it does make one imagine that it&#8217;s part of a much larger picture. In 1941, Blair and her husband, along with Walt and Lillian Disney and several other artists went to South America on a three month goodwill tour as documented in the film <em><a href="http://www.stitchkingdom.com/external/Walt_amp_El_Grupo/18161/2">Walt &amp; El Grupo</a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=stitking-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=B003TVTRYC&amp;camp=217145&amp;creative=399373" width="1" height="1" title="Mary Blair Honored by Google Doodle on 100th Birthday" alt=" Mary Blair Honored by Google Doodle on 100th Birthday" /></em> and produced classics such as <em>Saludos Amigos</em> and <em>Three Caballeros </em>as a result. She was named a <a href="http://www.stitchkingdom.com/external/Disney_Legend/18161/3">Disney Legend</a> in 1991. For instance, they may need an air purifier for an asthmatic, wheelchair access or extra counter space for an aspiring chef. Once players have decided, the fun begins! They&#8217;re given volunteers and their pick of design elements, including everything from the house shape and floor plan to wall decor, flooring, appliances, recreational items and more. Tastes range from the eclectic to the modern, from the traditional to the unexpected. Those who really want to flex their creative muscles can access even more design features and more volunteer help using Facebook Credits.</p><p>Players progress in the game by earning &#8220;Hearts&#8221; to level up. Bonus Hearts are earned when players quickly finish the floor plan and incorporate the family&#8217;s needs.</p><p>Finished floor plans are saved in a &#8220;Scrapbook&#8221; that can be shared and rated between friends.</p><p>Each Wednesday, the family featured in the upcoming episode of &#8220;Extreme Makeover: Home Edition&#8221; will be added to the game, giving players a sneak peek at who the family is and what their special needs are. Artwork based on real family photos will also be available. The initiative will lead up to an hour-long edition of &#8220;20/20&#8243; on maternal health anchored by Diane Sawyer on December 16, 2011 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET).</p><p>&#8220;There is so much we can do together &#8211; so many simple ways for us all to link arms to make sure every mother and child has a chance to lead a healthy life,&#8221; said ABC News anchor Diane Sawyer.</p><p>Using the latest in social media strategies together with the broadcast and digital news platforms of ABC News, this initiative will build a vibrant community that connects moms everywhere around things all mothers care about: the right nutrition to support their pregnancies, trained midwives to assist in safe deliveries of newborns, and vaccines that allow children to survive to celebrate their first birthdays and beyond.</p><p>Through broadcasts focusing on personal stories and innovative solutions from around the world, the Million Moms Challenge will raise awareness about the extraordinary challenges faced by mothers and babies in the developing world:</p><p>&gt; Every 90 seconds a woman dies during pregnancy or childbirth, yet we have the knowledge to prevent 90% of all maternal deaths.</p><p>&gt; More than 50 million women give birth without a skilled birth attendant every year.</p><p>&gt; Up to 1.5 million newborns die within the first 24 hours of life, and an additional 1 million babies are stillborn, almost all of whom could be saved with better care at birth.  Every 20 seconds, a child dies of a vaccine-preventable disease.</p><p>As part of the initiative, a dedicated website (www.millionmomschallenge.com) will provide a live, interactive forum for some of the nation&#8217;s top mom bloggers to share their stories and ideas through blogs and video posts in real time with moms and midwives in the developing world.
