'Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure' on Blu-ray/DVD Combo PackAmazon.com has begun accepting pre-orders for the Disney Channel Original Movie, Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure, starring Ashley Tisdale who revives her role of Sharpay Evans from the High School Musical series. The movie will be available on 3-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo + Digital Copy as well as a 2-disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo and DVD-only editions. The 3-Disc set will include a limited edition pink clutch purse.

‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ Trilogy to be Re-Released on Blu-Ray with All New Material?

Disney's 'Pirates of the Caribbean' Trilogy on Blu-rayAmazon.com has begun accepting pre-orders for what it’s referring to as a seven-disc re-release set of the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy on Disney Blu-ray. Although the trilogy had been released on Blu-ray in the past, it was just six discs and featured no added material over the individual releases. Perhaps most telling of all, however, is the price. Currently selling at $50, the existing trilogy collection’s price will be trumped by the newly announced edition which is listed at $65.49. There is no information listed at this time, however, advertising what one might find on the seventh disc.

Disney’s ‘Secretariat’ Races Home on Blu-ray on January 25, 2011

Billed as the impossible true story,  Secretariat chronicles the spectacular journey of the 1973 Triple Crown winner.  Housewife and mother Penny Chenery (Diane Lane) agrees to take over her ailing father’s Virginia-based Meadow Stables, despite her lack of horse-racing knowledge.  Against all odds, Chenery—with the help of veteran trainer Lucien Laurin (John Malkovich)—manages to navigate the male-dominated business, ultimately fostering the first Triple Crown winner in 25 years and what may be the greatest racehorse of all time.

First Look: Bonus Features and Clips from ‘Waking Sleeping Beauty’

If there is one film any fan of Disney should see, it’s Disney’s own documentary, Waking Sleeping Beauty. Comprised of tons of archival and personal footage, the documentary takes a no-holds-barred look at the state of The Walt Disney Company in the early 1980s when Hollywood big shots Michael Eisner, Jeffrey Katzenberg and all showed up in the parking lot with their fancy cars and turned the company and the animation department on its ear, taking it from the lows of The Black Cauldron to the highs of a series of animated films that helped to define a generation.

Sneak Peek: ‘Toy Story 3′ Blu-ray/DVD Bonus Features

In anticipation of the November 2 release of Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story 3 on Disney Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy, Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack, DVD and 10-disc trilogy set editions, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has released these two sneak peeks at just a couple of the many bonus features to be found along with the smash film.

The first is a clip from the accompanying short Day & Night. When Day, a sunny fellow, encounters Night, a stranger of distinctly darker moods, sparks fly! Day and Night are frightened and suspicious of each other at first, and quickly get off on the wrong foot. But as they discover each other’s unique qualities–and come to realize that each of them offers a different window onto the same world–the friendship helps both to gain a new perspective.

Attending celebrities and their families included Marcia Cross, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Andrea Bendewald, Kevin Nealon, Ali Landry, Shanna Moakler, Zane Holtz, Stephanie Pratt, Daphne Blunt, Ryan Newman, Jadin Gould, Chelsea Hobbs and many more. In addition, special appearances were made by the movie’s lead actors, Robby Benson and Paige O’Hara along with composer Alan Meken and Belle and Beast themselves.
