WATCH: Marvel’s ‘Doctor Strange’ Teaser Trailer with Benedict Cumberbatch

'Doctor Strange' Teaser PosterAfter an appearance by Benedict Cumberbatch on ABC’s ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live,’ Marvel Studios has released the first official teaser trailer for Doctor Strange (November 4, 2016), which you can find embedded below.

Marvel’s Doctor Strange follows the story of neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a horrific car accident, discovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions.

The cast includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams and Michael Stuhlberge with Mads Mikkelsen and Tilda Swinton. Marvel’s Doctor Strange is directed by Scott Derrickson and produced by Kevin Feige with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Charles Newirth, Stephen Broussard and Stan Lee as executive producers. The film opens in U.S. theaters on November 4, 2016.

‘Captain America’ STEM Contest for Teen Girls Offers Marvel Studios Internship

'Captain America: Civil War' Final PosterWalt Disney Studios and Marvel Studios have offered several STEM-related contests in the past tied to films, often limiting entries to girls in particular to encourage their science and math educations. For Captain America: Civil War, however, they’re raising the stakes, offering a top prize of an internship with Marvel Studios.

The contest is called MARVEL’S CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR – GIRLS REFORMING THE FUTURE CHALLENGE and can be found at captainamericacivilwarchallenge.com. It’s open to girls ages 15-18, in the 10th-12th grades. Entries must consist of a 5 minute video, proposing a STEM related project to make the make the world a better place.

‘Captain America: Civil War’ Team Rogers Posters in High Resolution

Walt Disney Studios and Marvel Studios have provided us with high resolution character posters for Team Captain America in support of Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War. In addition to Captain America, the posters include: Scarlet Witch, Falcon, Winter Soldier, Ant-Man and Hawkeye.

Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.

Eoin Colfer’s ‘Iron Man: Gauntlet’ Will Pit Billionaire Playboy Tony Stark Against Himself

'Iron Man: Gauntlet' by Eoin Colfer (Temporary Art)Following the success of Marvel’s foray into original junior and young adult novels with Margaret Stohl’s Black Widow treatment, Forever Red, several more collaborations with bestselling authors was announced at last year’s New York Comic-Con.

One such collaboration announced was with Artemis Fowl creator Eoin Colfer who is working on a novel focusing on Iron Man. With temporary artwork for Iron Man: Gauntlet having been recently released, as well as a slated release date of October 25, 2016 (now available for pre-order), we now have our first official synopsis for the 320-page novel:

Marvel’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ Begins Production in Atlanta

'Guardians of the Galaxy 2'Marvel Studios has begun principal photography at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, which is slated to hit U.S. theaters on May 5, 2017. The production will shoot at Atlanta’s Pinewood Studios.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is written and directed by James Gunn. The film marks the return of the original Guardians, including Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Star-Lord; Zoe Saldana as Gamora; Dave Bautista as Drax; Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot; Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket; Michael Rooker as Yondu; Karen Gillan as Nebula; and Sean Gunn as Kraglin. New cast members include Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, Chris Sullivan and Kurt Russell.
