Nominations for the 42nd Annual Annie Awards were announced earlier today, honoring the best animation in film, television, video games and beyond for the previous year. The Walt Disney Company made a strong showing, as one might expect, with Big Hero 6 and ‘Disney’s Mickey Mouse’ cartoons, but Craig McCracken’s ‘Wonder Over Yonder’ on Disney XD is also respectable in its showing, while new series ‘Star Wars Rebels’ struggled to make an impact with just one nomination, as did ‘Sofia the First’ which failed to show at all.

Not to be outdone by the release of the first Jurassic World trailer, Walt Disney Studios and Pixar Animation Studios have provided us with a very high resolution version of recently released concept art for Peter Sohn’s The Good Dinosaur (November 25, 2015). In addition, a new, revised synopsis has been released. As it’s commonly known that some of the ‘key elements’ such as the asteroid’s fateful miss of Earth are still being kept in tact, the new synopsis is mostly the same. Key differences include: it appears Arlo’s family is impacted specifically, rather than his entire community; the human boy is not named; and a whole lot of marketing terms have been added to the end. The newly revised synopsis is as follows:
