WATCH: ‘Cinderella’ Blu-ray Bonus Feature Clips


Cinderella on Blu-rayWith just a week to go before Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment releases its live action reboot of Cinderella (available to own on Blu-ray/DVD combo pack, Digital HD and Disney Movies Anywhere on September 15, 2015). A slew of bonus feature sneak peeks have been offered up from the Studios around the world. We have also previously shared several clips from additional bonus features as well as from the alternate opening. All of the newly released clips are from the bonus feature titled ‘A Fairy Tale Comes to Life’ and feature cast and crew talking about various aspects of turning the animated classic into a live action film. Note that many of the clips below, although in English, also feature localized subtitles.

WATCH: ‘Artemis Fowl’ Author ‘Cautiously’ Optimistic Regarding Recent Film News

It’s been a few years since it was first officially announced that Disney and Harvey Weinstein announced they were working on a film adaptation of the Artemis Fowl series of young adult novels by author Eoin Colfer. Not much has been heard of the project since, but recent reports (as per Variety for example) have seen Kenneth Branagh attached to direct the film with Conor McPherson in talks to adapt the book for the screen.

Colfer took to YouTube earlier today to express his thoughts on the latest developments, noting that while he is pleased with news that the movie is moving forward, he cautions that the film has been down that development road before.

REPORT: ‘Wreck-It Ralph’ Sequel, ‘Puppy Papers’ Series in Development at Disney

Earlier today, The Animation Guild Blog, representing the Local 839 IATSE union, provided a list of projects currently in the works at various studios in the Southern California area. Among the list are a few of interest when it comes to Disney television and feature animation.

Among the several already-known projects for Disney Television are two new entries: ‘Unannounced fairy tale’ and ‘Puppy Papers.’ An extensive Google search for the latter provided very little information on the new series, other than it’s being developed by Rough Draft Studios for Disney. All we could find were professional references for storyboard artist Aimee Major Steinberger and animation sheet timer David Lyman.

‘Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens’ New Stills in Ultra High Resolution, Watermark Free

Walt Disney Studios and Lucasfilm have provided us with high resolution versions of stills from Star Wars: The Force Awakens (December 18, 2015) as they recently appeared in Entertainment Weekly. The stills feature the core group of characters as well as Domhnall Gleeson in the role of General Hux and Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma. The newly added stills can be found in our gallery embedded below.

Star Wars also released a new teaser on its Instagram account featuring a clip in which it appears Finn, armed with Anakin’s light saber, is preparing to face off with Kylo Ren.

Those who haven’t yet seen it will find this to be somewhat of a spoiler, but a very good taste of what you’re missing out on. Walt Disney Studios Japan has released an extended clip of Ant-man facing off with Falcon after a mission goes afoul.
