Disney D23, the official fan club for The Walt Disney Company, today announced its initial roster of member events for 2014. Highlighting the list of events is the popular biennial Destination D event, this year taking place at the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL. With Oscar nominations for Best Song under its belt, adding to the worldwide phenomenon that it’s already become, Walt Disney Studios has released the full ‘Let It Go’ sequence from Disney’s Frozen in twenty-five different languages. Presented in order, the languages are: English, French, German, Dutch, Mandarin, Swedish, Japanese, Latin American Spanish, Polish, Hungarian, Castilian Spanish, Catalan, Italian, Korean, Serbian, Cantonese, Portuguese, Bahasa Malaysia, Russian, Danish, Bulgarian, Norwegian, Thai, Canadian French and Flemish. Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has announced that the Disney Junior television special, ‘Sofia the First: The Floating Palace’ which features an appearance by Ariel, will be available to own on Disney DVD on April 8, 2014.

After Sofia helps a young mermaid named Oona, Sofia’s amulet grants her the power to transform into a mermaid and visit her new friend’s secret underwater kingdom. With a little help from special guest, Princess Ariel, Sofia embarks on an adventure to rescue Oona. On February 15, Build-A-Bear Workshop will introduce several new friends for guests to build and dress, among them are the four pictured here: Marvel’s Spider-Man Bear and Captain America Bear ($23 each, plus clothing/accessories) and two of the Disney Princess Palace Pets, Pumpkin and Treasure ($25 each, plus clothing/accessories).
Walt Disney Studios and Marvel Studios have provided us with yet another high resolution still from Captain America: The Winter Soldier (April 4, 2014). Serving as part of Walt Disney Animation Studio’s research, particularly for the lighting, of Disney’s Frozen, Quebec City’s famed Hôtel de Glace — or Ice Hotel — has revealed the first look at its exclusive, limited Frozen-inspired suite.
Created entirely out of sculpted ice and snow and supervised by the film’s art director Michael Giaimo, the Frozen Suite is modeled after Anna & Elsa’s bedrooms. The collaboration will also include a ‘Frozen Activity Cave’ bringing the wonder of Disney’s wintry tale to life like never before. The suite will be open this weekend and remain open through March 23.
Ahead of any official announcement, we have learned of several of the bonus features for the Blu-ray release of Saving Mr. Banks.
As we have previously reported, Walmart had added an entry for the film with a release date of March 18, 2014, although Walmart has since removed that listing and no official date has been announced.
The currently known bonus features include:

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences named its nominees for the upcoming 86th Academy Awards, which will air in the United States on ABC on Sunday, March 2, 2014. While Saving Mr. Banks was snubbed from most of the main categories, it managed to garner a nomination for Best Original Score by Thomas Newman. But it was Walt Disney Animation Studios that shined this year, for two unsurprising nominations for Frozen: ‘Let It Go’ for Best Original Song (Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez) and Best Animated Feature where it will compete against Disney’s other contender, Studio Ghibli’s The Wind Rises.
Walt Disney Studios and Marvel Studios have shared with us the first minute of their new One Shot, titled ‘All Hail the King’ which will be featured as one of the bonuses on the February 25 release of Thor: The Dark World Blu-ray (pre-order), which we have embedded below.
The short takes place after the events of Iron Man 3 in which Trevor Slattery is now an infamous icon. He’s also locked up in a high-security prison. Luckily, his newfound profile has brought him celebrity and protection on the inside — and the actor has gladly agreed to an in-depth profile with a documentary filmmaker. The short stars Sir Ben Kingsley — reprising his role — and Scoot McNairy.
Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has announced that Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Minnie-rella will be available to down on DVD on February 11, 2014 (now available for pre-order, three days before it is set to premiere on Disney Channel and Disney Junior, on February 14.
In the special episode, our pals need to get Minnie a surprise present, so they keep her busy with plenty of chores to do at the Clubhouse. Tired from so much work, Minnie falls asleep and dreams that she is Minnie-rella! Inspired by the fairy tale of Cinderella, the story of Minnie-rella sparkles with music and fun as we recognize our favorite Clubhouse characters in familiar roles.
