The script is credited to Daniel Gerson & Robert L. Baird and Dan Scanlon. The script for Saving Mr. Banks is also expected to be released but as of this time, it has not been.

Disney’s ‘Frozen’ Script with Lyrics Available for Free Download

'Frozen' from Walt Disney Animation StudiosBranded as the Disney Frozen ‘Final Shooting Draft’ written by Jennifer Lee and dated September 23, 2013, Walt Disney Studios has now made the script for Frozen available for download, complete with lyrics by Robert and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.

Although not publicly linked to on the Studio’s ‘For Your Consideration’ awards website (which is still under development for this year), it can be downloaded via its direct link. The script is intended to make voting members of the various bodies aware of it for as consideration for best screenplay awards.

‘Saving Mr. Banks’ Soundtrack to Feature Demos from ‘Mary Poppins’ (Track List)

'Saving Mr. Banks' Original Motion Picture SoundtrackThanks to a pre-order listing on iTunes, we now have the complete track list for the double-album original motion picture soundtrack to Disney’s Saving Mr. Banks as composed by Thomas Newman (also available via  Amazon). The soundtrack is scheduled to be released on December 10, 2013, just ahead of the film’s limited release on December 13, followed by its wide release on December 20, 2013.

‘Thor: The Dark World’ New Behind-The-Scenes Photos (High-Res)

Walt Disney Studios and Marvel Studios have provided us with high resolution versions of several newly released behind-the-scenes images from their upcoming film, Thor: The Dark World (November 8, 2013). The images have been added to the beginning of our behind-the-scenes gallery embedded below.

Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s Thor and Marvel’s The Avengers, Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

Disney Submits Four Animated Films for Oscar Consideration

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences today announced that a total of nineteen animated films have been submitted for consideration for the Animated Feature category in the 86th Academy Awards, which will air in the United States on ABC on Sunday, March 2, 2014.

Among the submitted films are Frozen from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Planes from Disney Toon Studios, Monsters University from Pixar Animation Studios and Studio Ghibli’s The Wind Rises. The other entries from other studios are: Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, The Croods, Despicable Me 2, Epic, Ernest and Celestine, The Fake, Free Birds, Khumba, The Legend of Sarila, A Letter to Momo, O Apóstolo, Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie – Rebellion, Rio: 2096 A Story of Love and Fury, The Smurfs 2, and Turbo.

REVIEW: ‘Frozen’ Soundtrack Disney’s Best Since ‘Beauty and the Beast’

Note: This is a review of the original motion picture soundtrack to Disney’s Frozen. Reviews for the film are under embargo until later this month.

Disney 'Frozen' Original Motion Picture SoundtrackOn November 25, Walt Disney Records will release the original motion picture soundtrack to Disney’s Frozen in both single disc and 2-disc deluxe formats (available for pre-order via Amazon and iTunes), the latter of which features demos of songs that didn’t make it into to the film for various reasons (25 were written with just eight plus a reprise making the final cut). In addition to the songs written by the [married] songwriting team of Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, the soundtrack features a score by Christophe Beck and orchestration and arrangements by Dave Metzger. With a pedigree such as this, it’s a natural expectation for the soundtrack to exceed, but frankly expectations are greatly exceeded in what can easily be seen as Disney’s best musical since Beauty and the Beast, and in some ways, even better.

D23 ‘Disney twenty-three’ Special Edition to Honor ‘Mary Poppins,’ ‘Saving Mr. Banks’

Available exclusively to D23 Gold Members, the issue includes exclusive interviews with Saving Mr. Banks stars Tom Hanks, Emma Thompson and Bradley Whitford, as well as director John Lee Hancock. It takes readers behind the scenes of the making of this spectacular new film, which opens in limited release on December 13 and looks at the creation of Disney’s Mary Poppins and the sometimes combative but respectful relationship between the character’s creator, P.L. Travers (Thompson), and Walt Disney (Hanks).

Ore-Ida ‘Frozen’ Fun Tour to Visit 30 Cities Beginning in Philadelphia

Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Frozen kicks off a cross-country tour this week with Ore-Ida®, serving free treats to Frozen fans from Philadelphia to Los Angeles. Featuring Ore-Ida hash browns and fries, activities, crafts, themed lunch boxes and other giveaways, the tour will be covered as it happens on the Frozen Fun Tour microsite, which will share pictures of the fun to friends and family nationwide. Directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, who also wrote the screenplay, and produced by Peter Del Vecho Frozen hits theaters in 3D on Nov. 27, 2013.
