Walt Disney Studios has provided us with new high resolution photos from Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day (October 10, 2014), which you will find in our new gallery embedded below.
Production is scheduled to begin in September on The Finest Hours, starring Chris Pine, Academy Award® and Golden Globe® nominee Casey Affleck and Holliday Grainger. The thriller, which will be directed by Craig Gillespie, will shoot on location in Quincy and Chatham, Massachusetts.
In February of 1952, one of the worst storms to ever hit the East Coast struck New England, damaging an oil tanker off the coast of Cape Cod and literally ripping it in half. On a small lifeboat faced with frigid temperatures and 70-foot high waves, four members of the Coast Guard set out to rescue the more than 30 stranded sailors trapped aboard the rapidly-sinking vessel. The Finest Hours is the story of their heroic mission, which is still considered the greatest small boat rescue in Coast Guard history.

Disney Consumer Products and Marvel today announced the debut of an annual national multi-platform campaign aimed at taking the Marvel brand to new heights — ‘Marvel Super Hero September.’ Launching this September, the month-long celebration will showcase what being a Super Hero is all about by encouraging the public to ‘Power Up Like a Marvel Super Hero.’ This will be done through a supercharged lineup of retail partnerships, licensing partners, advertising, and online activations. The strategy will place a stake in the ground for the Marvel brand, celebrating the entertainment company’s rich 75 year history and its wide array of characters.
After making its debut during ‘The Story of Frozen: Making An Animated Classic,’ Walt Disney Animation Studios has released the first official clip from its upcoming film, Big Hero 6 (November 7, 2014). The clip, in which Hiro meets nurse robot Baymax for the first time (or ‘Diagnosis: Puberty’), can be found embedded below. The clip originally premiered for an audience during the film’s panel at this past summer’s San Diego Comic-Con.
During tonight’s primetime special, ‘The Story of Frozen: Making An Animated Classic,’ the Walt Disney Company outlined future plans for the franchise, confirming some long withstanding rumors as well as brand new information on how the company plans on building on the successes of the wildly popular film, in addition to the already confirmed Broadway musical production, Disney On Ice’s Frozen on Ice and the upcoming book series from Random House.
Later tonight, at 8:00 pm ET/PT, the ABC television network will air ‘The Story of Frozen: Making an Animated Classic,’ an hour-long special that promises to go behind-the-scenes of what Disney refers to as the most successful animated film at all time.
ABC has provided us with a screener of the television special and we are pleased to report that it was (for the most part) an absolute joy to watch from start to finish. Narrated by Josh Gad (voice of Olaf), the special incorporates interviews with stars Kristen Bell (Anna), Idina Menzel (Elsa) and Jonathan Goff (Kristoff/’Sven’) along with co-directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, songwriters Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, character lead animators Becky Bresee (Anna), Wayne Unten (Elsa), Hyrum Osmond (Olaf), Brittney Lee, producer Peter Del Vecho and John Lasseter.
