‘Frozen: Northern Lights’ Franchise, ‘Disney Princess Beginnings’ Series and ‘Dream Big, Princess’

'Frozen Northern Lights: Journey to the Lights'As the old saying goes, sometimes a carrot nose is just a carrot nose. While the likelihood that there is a new Frozen short on the horizon, Random House has announced additional information regarding the hush-hush Frozen: Northern Lights, which now appears to be more of a franchise. About a month ago, we reported that a synopsis for the upcoming 224-page ‘adaptation’ had been released. At that time, the title had been changed to a TBA,  but now we not only have a title, but an actual cover and author’s name as well. The new book will be titled Frozen Northern Lights: Journey to the Lights and it was written by Suzanne Francis. Francis has written several Disney titles for Random House, including novelizations of Pixar’s Inside Out and Disney’s Zootopia and some ancillary titles to boot. The book is slated for release on July 5, 2016 and is available for pre-order. The official publisher’s description is as follows:

‘Zootopia: Ultimate Collector’s Edition’ on 3D Blu-ray June 7 with Deleted Scenes/Characters and More

Zootopia Ultimate Collector's EditionWalt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has announced that Zootopia will be available to own on June 7, 2016 in several formats including the Ultimate Collector’s Edition which features the film in 3D Blu-ray format as well as Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD formats. Other formats include Blu-ray/DVD Combo and Disney Movies Anywhere. The Blu-ray will feature 28 minutes of additional footage not seen in the original film. In addition, Target has announced a retailer exclusive with cover art plus over 15 minutes of content including voice cast interviews and first cuts from the film.

Motion Picture Academy to Reunite ‘Beauty and the Beast’ Cast and Crew for 25th Anniversary

Beauty and the BeastEight-time Oscar®-winning composer Alan Menken and three-time Oscar nominee and Honorary Academy Award® recipient Angela Lansbury will join voice actors Paige O’Hara, Richard White and Robby Benson, supervising animators Andreas Deja, Mark Henn and Glen Keane, key story artist Brenda Chapman, Oscar-nominated producer Don Hahn, and director Gary Trousdale onstage for a 25th anniversary celebration of Beauty and the Beast on Monday, May 9, at 7:30 p.m. at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills.

Adventures in Babysitting, inspired by the hugely popular 1980s film of the same name, is an upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie starring Sabrina Carpenter and Sofia Carson. In Adventures in Babysitting, a dull evening for two competing babysitters, Jenny (Sabrina Carpenter) and Lola (Sofia Carson), turns into an adventure in the big city as they hunt for one of the kids who somehow snuck away.
