Walt Disney Studios and Marvel Studios have provided us with high resolution versions of several newly released stills from their upcoming film, Thor: The Dark World (November 8, 2013), along with some new behind-the-scenes photos and character posters for Heimdall and Malekith. Each of the new additions have been added to the beginning of their respective galleries embedded below. UPDATE: We have also just added newly released concept art featuring Thor and Odin inside the Asgard coronation chamber.
According to the Home Movie Day Project, Home Movies Day — which takes place this year on October 12, 2013 at the Linwood Dunn Theater, Pickford Center — is an annual celebration of amateur films and filmmaking at many local venues worldwide, providing an opportunity for individuals and families to see and share their own home movies with an audience in their community.
First up, an entire series of 2-inch Marvel Minimates will be dedicated to Thor: The Dark World. The 53rd Marvel assortment available only at comic shops and specialty stores will include four different two-packs: Thor with Malekith, Loki with Heimdall, Dr. Erik Selvig with Dark Elf and Darcy Lewis with Dark Elf. Designed by the team at Art Asylum, each Minimate stands 2 inches tall and includes a variety of interchangeable parts and accessories, including an alternate head for Malekith, hands for the Dark Elves, a helmet for Loki and bare legs for Selvig.
In Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World, Academy Award® winner Natalie Portman portrays astrophysicist Jane Foster, an independent spirit who follows her heart and journeys to a new world.

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has officially confirmed our earlier report on DisneyToon’s Planes and its bonus features when it becomes available to own on Blu-ray on November 19, 2013, now available for pre-order. Into the Woods is a modern twist on the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales, intertwining the plots of a few choice stories and exploring the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests. This humorous and heartfelt musical follows the classic tales of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel — all tied together by an original story involving a baker and his wife, their wish to begin a family and their interaction with the witch who has put a curse on them.
In honor of today’s release of the second trailer for Disney’s Frozen, Walt Disney Animation Studios hs provided us with high res versions of newly released stills which feature Anna, Elsa and Marshmallow, who impolitely likes to throw snow people. Walt Disney Animation Studios Frozen has just released the newest trailer for Frozen (November 27, 2013), which you will find embedded below. It will make its theatrical debut tomorrow, attached to Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2.
