Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment and Marvel Studios have released the newest bonus feature sneak peek from Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy (now available for pre-order), the deleted scene ‘The Kyln Will Have to Do’ in which Corpsman Dey — after dealing with a wardrobe malfunction — expresses concerns to Denarian Saal that the Kyln may be too rough for the ‘bunch of aholes’ that are the Guardians. You can find the deleted scene embedded below.
Last weekend, Frozen songwriters Bobby Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez held a benefit show for the lower school at Poly Prep in Brooklyn. Joined by stage veteran Kerry Butler and her husband — and ‘Sesame Street’ head writer and puppeteer — Joey Mazzarino, along with a spectacular Olaf puppet, the Oscar Award-winning pair led an audience of mostly students through the process of writing the music for one of the most successful animated films in history.
Thanks once more to the British Board of Film Classification, we now have all the juicy details on the bonus features to be included on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, available to own on 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD, On-Demand and Standard HD on December 9, 2014. The film will be available in both Digital 3D and Digital HD formats on on November 18. You can find all the details listed below. Now available for pre-order.
UPDATE: After Stitch Kingdom’s reporting on Disney’s myserious Strange Magic project, news has finally come to light. Lucasfilm has announced that Strange Magic is its own title which will be distributed through Disney’s Touchstone label with a slated release date of January 23, 2015.
Strange Magic is a ‘madcap fairy tale musical inspired by ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream.’ Popular songs from the past six decades help tell the tale of a colorful cast of goblins, elves, fairies and imps, and their hilarious misadventures sparked by the battle over a powerful potion. Lucasfilm Animation Singapore and Industrial Light & Magic, which created the CGI animation for 2011’s Academy Award-winning film Rango, bring to life the fanciful forest turned upside down.’
Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment and Disneytoon Studios today announced that ‘Daredevil’ actress Rosario Dawson has joined the cast of Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast (March 3, 2015) as a fiery and courageous fairy called Nyx. Now available for pre-order.
Nyx is a Scout Fairy charged with protecting the lushious land of Pixie Hollow and all of the fairies who reside there. A true professional who takes her job very seriously—maybe a little too seriously—allowing facts and logic to guide her every move. Driven to succeed, Nyx is often willing to let compassion take a back seat. The Scout Fairies are a group of fearless fairies who protect the residents of Pixie Hollow. They are agile and athletic with a keen ability to spot trouble before it gets out of control.

The official track lists for both the standard edition soundtrack and deluxe edition soundtrack for Disney’s Into the Woods (December 25, 2014), have been published on Amazon. Comparing the soundtrack listing to the original cast recording does present some changes, however: ‘I Guess This Is Goodbye / Maybe They’re Magic’ is not included here; ‘First Midnight’ does not appear to be included; ‘Careful My Toe’ by Christine Baranski has a track; ‘Agony (reprise),’ ‘Back to the Palace,’ and ‘Boom Crunch’ are all missing.
Last month, we told you about a limited edition bundle for Big Hero 6 which combines the Big Hero 6 soundtrack on CD (which is already available separately later this month — the digital release is already available), a 7″ vinyl single of Fall Out Boy’s ‘Immortals’ sporting the face of Baymax and an exclusive poster.
Today we have good news for those who aren’t married to the poster but want the 7″ vinyl — it too will be available a la carte. Amazon is now listing it for a December 16, 2014 release. Walt Disney Records has confirmed to us that it is the same vinyl that will be available in the limited edition bundle.
