Located at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort, the Animation building traditionally plays host to an exhibit featuring the latest in Disney animation. Until recently, this honor was held by Disney’s Tangled, but with the threat of spring and summer looming and two animated features soon to be released, the installation was very recently switched over to promote both films: Winnie the Pooh from Walt Disney Animation Studios (July 15) and Cars 2 from Pixar Animation Studios (June 24).

‘Cars 2′ – New Concept Art (Hi-Res) Visits London, Paris and Porto Corsa

Walt Disney Studios and Pixar Animation Studios have provided us with these new concept art images from their upcoming film, Cars 2, which opens in theaters nationwide on June 24, 2011.

Normally when we receive images, we downsample them to a maximum of 1500px on the longest side. However, due to the unique and intricate detail in these images, we’d like to keep them at their maximum resolution that we are allowed to share. This means that in order to fully enjoy the images, we invite you to not only click on the smaller version of the image displayed, but to find the resize arrow as you mouseover the image and click it to explore the image in its original size. ‘Cars 2′ Fillmore, Luigi and Guido Turntables; Lasseter Talks About Film’s Genesis

Hey man, earlier today, we introduced you to the newbie from New Rearendia, Rip Clutchgoneski. But now it’s time to get turn back the clock and focus our attention on the classics from Disney/Pixar’s Cars 2. This time it’s all about Fillmore (who’s being voiced in the sequel by Lloyd Sherr, filling in for the irreplaceable George Carlin), Luigi and Guido.

On a related note, man, Disney Consumer Products released this video clip today of John Lassetire Lasseter talking about Cars 2. This is actually a slightly modified version of the video played for Disney D23 members and invited media at the Cars 2 event held earlier this year during the New York International Toy Fair.

In honor of the release of the new domestic and international trailers for Cars 2, Walt Disney Studios and Pixar Animation Studios have provided us with four new hi-res stills from the upcoming summer blockbuster. We’ve added the images to the beginning of our stills gallery from the film below.

All the world’s a racetrack as racing superstar Lightning McQueen zooms back into action, with his best friend Mater in tow, to take on the globe’s fastest and finest in this thrilling high-octane new installment of the Cars saga. Though his true motive is unclear, Professor Z is willing to do whatever it takes to eliminate all obstacles and keep the “project” on schedule.

Professor Z, which everyone calls “The Professor” is a formidable weapons manufacturer sought by all fonts. Behind his aristocratic manners and brilliant intellect, this German uses a monocle to mask the fact that he is crazy. He conspires to sabotage the World Grand Prix. Even if his motives remain unclear, the Professor is desperate to achieve his goals and make the race out of his way ……

Walt Disney Studios and Disney/Pixar have provided us with this new third hi-res still from the upcoming Toy Story Toon short, ‘Hawaiian Vacation’ which will debut alongside Cars 2 on June 24, 2011.

Set in new owner Bonnie’s bedroom, ‘Hawaiian Vacation’ features Woody (voice of Tom Hanks) and Buzz (voice of Tim Allen) and the rest of the favorite Toy Story 3 toys as they create the ultimate Hawaiian vacation for Ken (voice of Michael Keaton) and Barbie (voice of Jodi Benson).  It seems Ken badly miscalculated their travel arrangements, so the gang has to create a dream getaway in Bonnie’s Midwestern bedroom—in the middle of winter.  ‘Hawaiian Vacation’ also features the voices of Joan Cusack, Wallace Shawn, Don Rickles, Estelle Harris, Blake Clark, Bonnie Hunt, Timothy Dalton, Kristen Schaal, Jeff Garlin and John Ratzenberger.

Walt Disney Studios UK has released the following clip from the upcoming Toy Story Toon, ‘Hawaiian Vacation’ which will be attached to Disney/Pixar’s Cars 2 when it rolls into theaters on June 24, 2011.
