‘Cars 2′ New Clip Revealed Through Covert Operation

Disney/Pixar's 'Cars 2'A new faux television commercial for used car dealership Cars N’ Deals reveals that there’s more to be seen in just the ad for the promised Sale-A-Bration. The ad itself is laden with Pixar and Cars 2 references, between the dealership being located in Emeryville, the A113 license plate, taking the Finn Road exit and some just plain absurd goings on in the background, but the real message is the one that comes up before the warning about going too far and missing it. For hidden inside the ad itself is a URL that will take you to a brand new action-packed clip from the Disney/Pixar film, introduced by none-other than Lasseter… John Lasseter.

Walt Disney Studios and Pixar Animation Studios have provided us with this hi-res concept art from its summer 2012 release, Brave (originally titled The Bear and the Bow).

The rugged and mysterious Highlands of Scotland serve as the backdrop for Brave, a new tale that joins the land’s ancient lore — stories of epic battles and mystical legends passed down for generations. Directed by Mark Andrews and Brenda Chapman, and produced by Katherine Sarafian, Brave is the grand adventure of Merida (voice of Kelly Macdonald), a skilled archer who confronts tradition, destiny and the fiercest of beasts to discover the true meaning of courage. The film also features the voices of Emma Thompson, Billy Connolly, Julie Walters, Kevin McKidd, Craig Ferguson and Robbie Coltrane. Brave, full of heart, memorable characters and Pixar’s signature humor, takes aim at theaters on June 22, 2012, and will be presented in Disney Digital 3D™ in select theaters.

Located at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort, the Animation building traditionally plays host to an exhibit featuring the latest in Disney animation. Until recently, this honor was held by Disney’s Tangled, but with the threat of spring and summer looming and two animated features soon to be released, the installation was very recently switched over to promote both films: Winnie the Pooh from Walt Disney Animation Studios (July 15) and Cars 2 from Pixar Animation Studios (June 24).

But now it’s time to get turn back the clock and focus our attention on the classics from Disney/Pixar’s Cars 2. This time it’s all about Fillmore (who’s being voiced in the sequel by Lloyd Sherr, filling in for the irreplaceable George Carlin), Luigi and Guido.

On a related note, man, Disney Consumer Products released this video clip today of John Lassetire Lasseter talking about Cars 2. This is actually a slightly modified version of the video played for Disney D23 members and invited media at the Cars 2 event held earlier this year during the New York International Toy Fair.
