‘Brave’ Father’s Day Promo

'Brave' Father's Day PromoThey did it for Mother’s Day, so it’s only fitting that dads get the royal treatment as well. Disney/Pixar has released a brand new promo for Brave which shares some insight into the strong bonds between Princess Merida and her father, King Fergus. Once again, the film’s track ‘Into the Open Air’ as performed by Julie Fowlis provides the background music for the video.

The rugged and mysterious Highlands of Scotland serve as the backdrop for Brave, a new tale that joins the land’s ancient lore — stories of epic battles and mystical legends passed down for generations. Directed by Mark Andrews and Brenda Chapman, and produced by Katherine Sarafian, Braveis the grand adventure of Merida, a skilled archer who confronts tradition, destiny and the fiercest of beasts to discover the true meaning of courage.

D23 Offers ‘Brave’ Screenings Nationwide Ahead of Film’s Release

The newly released art focuses on the Witch, her cottage and the Will-o-the-Wisps who, according to Queen Elinor, are just the prescription one needs when tempting to change their fate.

‘Brave’ Clip ‘Archery’ Features Previously Unreleased Animation, Dialogue

At first glance,  it will look just like the second half of the ‘trailer,’ known as ‘The Prize,’ in which Merida announces her intention to choose her own fate when it comes to being betrothed, however, just in case you want to make sure you’re piecing the entire film together, or just happen to crave more of Kelly Macdonald as Merida, there actually are a few new seconds of footage in this clip that comes to us from Walt Disney Studios Ireland, including Merida positioning herself between the targets.

VIDEO: ‘Brave’ Edition of ‘Temple Run’ Coming in June

'Brave' Edition of 'Temple Run'

At E3, Disney Interactive has announced that it has licensed the Disney/Pixar Brave property to Imangi Studios, developer for the popular freemium mobile game, ‘Temple Run.’ In the new game, set to be released on Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Android devices on June 14, 2012, the player assumes the role of Merida who is chased by a bear. In addition to the standard game play, Merida can also show off her archery skills by shooting targets along the way.

‘Brave’ a Dozen Stunning New Hi-Res Stills

Walt Disney Studios and Pixar Animation Studios have provided us with a dozen newly released hi-res stills from their upcoming release, Brave. Amongst the images are some of the most stunning yet as many focus on Merida confronting others in battle, arguments and perhaps a bit of trepidation, particularly when coming face to face with the witch’s familiar.

‘Finding Nemo,’ ‘Up’ on Blu-ray 3D on December 4

'Up' on Disney Blu-ray 3DAdmittedly we had prematurely announced a release date for Disney/Pixar’s Up on Blu-ray 3D on May 1, but these things happen to all sites now and then and we’ve reached the stage of acceptance. That said, we are now ready to announce a new date for the release, which will be December 4, 2012. This comes to us via Amazon.com which has begun taking pre-orders for the 5 disc set ahead of any official announcement.

'Finding Nemo' on Blu-ray 3DAlso being released on Blu-ray 3D on December 4, as per Amazon.com, is Finding Nemo. After the theatrical run of the 3D version of the film, which premieres September 14, it will be available to own on Blu-ray 3D in a 5-disc ‘ultimate collectors edition’ set.

'Brave' Teaser Poster from Disney/PixarAlthough bits and pieces from this clip have been seen before, the clip from Disney/Pixar’s Brave titled ‘Suitors’ clocks in at a whopping 89 seconds, as each of the clans’ Lords (MacGuffin, Macintosh and Dingwall) present their eldest son for consideration to be betrothed to Princess Merida.
