It is now being reported that Disney and Google have reached an agreement in which Disney will provide short-form videos from its ABC and ESPN libraries via ad-supported branded channels. The ESPN channel is set to launch first in mid-April with the ABC channel (including SOAPnet) to follow in May.

Here’s my dose of Saturday Synergy. I’m playing catch-up on this past week’s television and finally muddling through the soon-to-be-over Life on Mars. In this episode, All the Young Dudes, Sam makes a promise to ‘make it up’ to Annie when he gets back to 2008 (or 2009) from 1973. He’s got a laundry list of hip and current buzz-word laden things to do for her: take her to Nobu for sushi; fill up her ipod with the Justin Timberlake library; and even take her to EPCOT Center to ride Spaceship Earth. The Houston Chronicle reports that the ten television stations that make up the ABC Owned Television Stations Group (AOTS) will be launching a new network in late April to be carried by Comcast and other cable providers called LiveWellHD. The channel will feature original content created by the stations in the group which includes Houston’s KTRK ABC13. More details can be found in the article here.
Disney Channel stars Mitchel Musso (“Hannah Montana” and “Phineas and Ferb”) and Tiffany Thornton (“Sonny With A Chance”) perform the new high-energy pop dance song, “Let It Go,” from the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie, “Hatching Pete,” in a music video to debut SATURDAY, MARCH 28 (7:20 p.m. ET/PT) on Disney Channel. Leading up to the television debut, the handclapping, chanting song will be available exclusively online at www.Disney.com/MusicVideos and mark its debut on Radio Disney on March 20.
