Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment today announced that the complete second season of the popular ABC television series, ‘Once Upon A Time‘ will be released on Blu-ray on August 13, 2013 and is now available for pre-order from Amazon.com.
Continuing to deliver some of the most compelling and heartfelt series on television, ABC is adding fourteen new shows to its established slate of programming. Paul Lee, President, ABC Entertainment Group, will unveil the network’s new lineup to the advertising and media communities this afternoon at Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall.
“We are taking some big swings with groundbreaking shows this season, and staying close to our roots with smart and sophisticated storytelling. ABC is known for its combination of innovation and stability, and our new schedule reflects that. Netflix, Inc. (Nasdaq:NFLX) and The Disney/ABC Television Group (NYSE:DIS) today announced a new multi-year licensing agreement that will make Netflix the exclusive U.S. subscription television service for one of the most popular shows on Disney Junior, ‘Jake and the Never Land Pirates,’ as well as fan favorite Disney XD show ‘Tron: Uprising.’ In addition, ‘Handy Manny,’ ‘Special Agent Oso’ and ‘JoJo’s Circus’ will also be available for members in the U.S. to watch instantly later this month.

ABC Family has greenlit the original one-hour drama series ‘Ravenswood,’ a spin-off of their number one- rated series ‘Pretty Little Liars.’ ‘Pretty Little Liars’ has also been picked up for a fifth season it was announced today by Michael Riley, President ABC Family. Both series will be produced by Warner Horizon Television.
From ‘Pretty Little Liars’ executive producers I. Marlene King, Oliver Goldstick, Joseph Dougherty and Leslie Morgenstein, ‘Ravenswood’ will center on a town, not far from Rosewood, PA (the home base of ‘Pretty Little Liars’), which has suffered under a deadly curse for generations. Five strangers suddenly find themselves connected by this fatal curse and need to dig into the town’s mysterious and terrible history before it’s too late for each of them. The series will premiere on ABC Family following the annual “Pretty Little Liars” special Halloween episode in October 2013.
Disney Channel has provided us with these first look images at the fourth season premiere of ‘Good Luck Charlie’ featuring an appearance by the Muppets. In the episode, titled ‘Duncan Dream House,’ the Duncan Family decides to build their dream house after the family home is devastated by termites. Everyone, with the exception of Charlie, is excited at the prospect of a new and larger home. However, Teddy has a change of heart after a dream in which Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear and Animal convince her that the old family home is really the house of her dreams.
In the Disney Channel original movie, Teen Beach Movie, teen surfers McKenzie and Brady are magically transported into a 1960’s beach movie. They figure they just need to blend in until they can find a way to get back home. However, blending isn’t easily done when everyone around them routinely breaks into song and dance seemingly for no reason. And when they accidentally interfere with the plot of the movie and make the romantic leads Tanner and Lela fall for them instead, it looks like they might be stuck for good.
ABC announced its summer lineup, with two new series joining the schedule, the innovative procedural “Motive,” which will have a special debut following the finale of “Dancing with the Stars the Results Show” on Tuesday, May 21, before moving to its regular time period on Thursday, May 23 at 9:00 p.m.; and “Whodunnit?,” a new mystery reality competition show from Anthony E. Zuiker, the creator of the “CSI” franchise, which will premiere Sunday, June 23 at 9:00 p.m.
