Gravity Falls is just west of weird, slightly east of eerie and always north of normal, in a fresh new comedy series that follows city kids and twins Dipper and Mabel Pines who are sent to spend the summer with their eccentric Great Uncle Stan (aka Grunkle Stan) who runs a tourist trap called The Mystery Shack in a remote northwestern town where nothing is what it seems. There are creatures in the forest, there are monsters in the lake and even time traveling adventures. The comedy, produced by Disney Television Animation, has a special preview Friday, June 15 at 9:55 pm ET/PT and premieres Friday, June 29 at 9:30 pm ET/PT on Disney Channel.
On tonight’s edition of ‘The Bachelorette,’ Emily Maynard will experience her first one on one date, featuring a performance by Gloriana, the first group date featuring an appearance by The Muppets’ Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, a second one-on-one, fighting contestants and — oh yes — the Rose Ceremony.
What will start as 19 eligible bachelor contestants will end with 16 remaining as three are sent packing. But who won’t be receiving a coveted rose this evening? Normally you’d have to wait until the show airs to find out, but today ABC inadvertently leaked the results, which you can see below (until it is removed by ABC, anyway):
While the first part was filmed at Disney’s Aulani Resort & Spa in Ko’Olina, Hawaii, the second part was filmed on location at Cars Land at Disney California Adventure at the Disneyland Resort, opening June 15. The grand prize is a membership in Disney Vacation Club.
After 10 weeks of highly entertaining performances and phenomenal dancing, Donald Driver & Peta Murgatroyd, Katherine Jenkins & Mark Ballas and William Levy & Cheryl Burke have proven they deserve to be in the finals. But only one couple will be crowned champions of “Dancing with the Stars.” The three finalists will have their last opportunity to impress the judges and viewers on two final nights of competition, MONDAY, MAY 21 (8:00-9:01 p.m., ET), and concluding on the Season Finale, TUESDAY, MAY 22 (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
DisneyBaby.com, a new online destination and product showcase for expectant and new parents is offering proud parents, family members and friends the opportunity to enter their favorite little character into the DisneyBaby.com “Little Character Contest.” The grand prize winner will be awarded a variety of once-in-a-lifetime prizes, including a ‘crawl on’ role for Baby on ABC Family’s upcoming original comedy “Baby Daddy,” Baby’s photo featured in a Disney Baby ad in a national baby magazine, $10,000 towards Baby’s education and a VIP trip to attend the grand opening of the first Disney Baby store at The Americana at Brand in Glendale, Calif.

This is no ordinary Bachelorette, as the 19 remaining men find out when they are “tested” from the start about how they might fit into Emily’s world as a dad, as well as working at a charity event that is near and dear to her heart. Now ensconced in the sprawling 12,000-square foot mansion in Emily’s hometown of Charlotte, the men quickly learn that roses will be at stake on the one group date and on two individual dates. However, the competition is revved up when they learn that not all the men will get dates before the next rose ceremony, so the bachelors must take advantage of every opportunity to score points with the Bachelorette. A special concert by hit country music trio Gloriana and a charming, scene-stealing romp with the acclaimed Muppets, featuring Kermit and Miss Piggy, at the charity event are real delights. But after careful deliberation, Emily must eliminate three men, as she starts to try and make her fairytale come true, on “The Bachelorette,” Monday, May 21st at 9:01 pm ET/PT on the ABC Television Network.
ABC continues to set the industry standard for creative ingenuity, strong viewer retention and ratings success in primetime, delivering the No. 1 comedy (“Modern Family”), No. 1 drama (“Grey’s Anatomy”) and No. 1 freshman drama (“Once Upon a Time”) this season in the key Adult 18-49 demographic. Building on its momentum from the 2011-2012 season, Paul Lee, president, ABC Entertainment Group, will share ABC’s plans for next season and present the network’s 2012-2013 Fall schedule before the advertising and media communities this afternoon at Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall.
ABC has released the following excerpts from ‘The View”s exclusive interview with President Barack Obama, recorded today and airing tomorrow, May 15 on ABC at 11 am ET:
BARBARA WALTERS: Let’s move it along a little bit. You did make that historic decision to say that you’re in favor of gay marriage. There are 30 states which are not. But there are also federal laws that impinge on the rights of gays. They can’t file a joint income tax report; they don’t have social security that they can pass to each other. Will you now fight for a federal bill that gives the same rights to heterosexuals that the federal bill now does not give to gays?
Although it’s meant to make its online debut tomorrow, on the official Disney XD Facebook page, the 30+ minute prelude to the new ‘TRON: Uprising’ series, ‘Beck’s Beginning’ is now online for viewing on its YouTube channel. Having already seen the prelude twice, once as a screener a couple of days ago and once again today on Disney Channel on Demand, I don’t mind highly recommending viewing of the prelude by every one, even if they’ve never seen either film. It’s absolutely visually stunning and a great use of the medium for the series’ lore. I cannot wait for the series premiere on June 7.
