When a science experiment goes awry, teen best friends Shelby and Cyd gain the power to travel back and forth in time, although they can’t quite control their powers just yet, in the new sitcom ‘Best Friends Whenever,’ debuting Friday, June 26 on Disney Channel. The series, starring Lauren Taylor and Landry Bender as time-traveling teen besties Shelby and Cyd, premieres immediately following the highly anticipated Disney Channel Original Movie Teen Beach 2 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT).
A new television drama series based on the book by Lily Koppel, ‘The Astronaut Wives Club’ focuses on seven women who were key players behind some of the biggest events in American history. As America’s astronauts were launched on death-defying missions, the lives of their young wives were transformed, seemingly overnight, from military spouses to American royalty. As their celebrity rose, and tragedy began to touch their lives, they rallied together. ‘The Astronaut Wives Club’ premieres Thursday, June 18 at 8:00 pm ET/PT on the ABC Television Network.
After their whirlwind publicity tour throughout Hollywood, not to mention the star studded world premiere last night at the Dolby Theatre, the Avengers are making their way to the Big Apple for an appearance on ABC’s ‘Good Morning America,’ on Friday, April 24, 2015.
Earlier this evening, Marvel Unlimited sent out an email to its Unlimited Plus members offering the first fifteen to respond the opportunity for them and their guests to attend the event as ‘VIP Super Fans.’ While those slots are most likely filled by now, Marvel notes that the event will be open to all fans (and presumably anyone who wishes to attend ‘Good Morning America’) and confirms it will be held outside in Times Square, just outside GMA’s Studios.
ABC Family today announced it has greenlit pilots for ‘Gorgeous Morons’ and ‘Beyond.’ These two pilot greenlights come hot off the heels of the network picking up saga series ‘Shadowhunters’ and single camera comedy ‘Kevin From Work’ to series.
From ABC Signature Studios, ‘Gorgeous Morons’ is a half-hour multi-cam comedy that focuses on two stunningly handsome but ridiculously simple brothers — one is a model, the other a personal trainer — who find their lives rocked by their brainy new roommate, a female literature PhD whose looks are, by their standards, in desperate need of help.
‘Dancing with the Stars’ marks the halfway point of the competition with its biggest show yet, ‘Disney Night,’ with all new celebrity performances on Monday, April 13 (8:00 pm – 10:01 pm ET/PT) on the ABC Television Network. The show will begin with an opening number featuring all your favorite live action and animated Disney characters dancing with the entire cast. Each couple will then perform to songs from Walt Disney Animation Studios films including Aladdin, Mary Poppins, The Little Mermaid and Frozen. The evening will also showcase fun and exciting animated elements of Disney animation, with nods to memorable moments from Disney films. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto and Goofy will be kicking up their dancing shoes throughout the show. One couple will face elimination at the end of the night.

Production is revving up on the animated series ‘Mickey and the Roadster Racers,’ a madcap car-racing adventure for preschoolers featuring Disney’s #1 star, Mickey Mouse, and his pals Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Daisy and Donald. Slated to debut in 2017 on Disney Junior channels and programming blocks around the world, the series takes the Sensational Six and their uniquely personalized vehicles on humorous high-spirited races around the globe plus hometown capers in Hot Dog Hills. The announcement was made today by Nancy Kanter, Executive Vice President, Original Programming and General Manager, Disney Junior Worldwide.
In a move that should bode well for the series currently in development, ABC and ABC Studios have applied for a trademark for ‘The Real O’Neals,’ a half-hour single-camera comedy that’s being executive produced by activist Dan Savage, creator of the ‘It Gets Better’ project. The series was formerly known under the working title of ‘Family of the Year.’ The official description for the series pilot is as follows:

These unscripted series join recently greenlit series ‘Becoming Us’ (formerly ‘My Transparent Life’) and ‘Job or No Job,’ all of which premiere this summer.
