ABC continues to set the industry standard for creative ingenuity, strong viewer retention and ratings success in primetime, delivering the No. 1 comedy (“Modern Family”), No. 1 drama (“Grey’s Anatomy”) and No. 1 freshman drama (“Once Upon a Time”) this season in the key Adult 18-49 demographic. Building on its momentum from the 2011-2012 season, Paul Lee, president, ABC Entertainment Group, will share ABC’s plans for next season and present the network’s 2012-2013 Fall schedule before the advertising and media communities this afternoon at Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall.
ABC has released the following excerpts from ‘The View”s exclusive interview with President Barack Obama, recorded today and airing tomorrow, May 15 on ABC at 11 am ET:
BARBARA WALTERS: Let’s move it along a little bit. You did make that historic decision to say that you’re in favor of gay marriage. There are 30 states which are not. But there are also federal laws that impinge on the rights of gays. They can’t file a joint income tax report; they don’t have social security that they can pass to each other. Will you now fight for a federal bill that gives the same rights to heterosexuals that the federal bill now does not give to gays?
Although it’s meant to make its online debut tomorrow, on the official Disney XD Facebook page, the 30+ minute prelude to the new ‘TRON: Uprising’ series, ‘Beck’s Beginning’ is now online for viewing on its YouTube channel. Having already seen the prelude twice, once as a screener a couple of days ago and once again today on Disney Channel on Demand, I don’t mind highly recommending viewing of the prelude by every one, even if they’ve never seen either film. It’s absolutely visually stunning and a great use of the medium for the series’ lore. I cannot wait for the series premiere on June 7.
After last week’s nerve-racking double elimination, the four remaining couples face off in the semifinals of “Dancing with the Stars,” Monday, May 14 at 8:00 pm ET/PT on the ABC Television Network. Throughout the half-hour talk, which featured a look at one of the ‘microsodes’ that compose the ‘Beck’s Beginning’ prelude, the team fielded questions from fans on Facebook. What follows is a bit of a recap from the event.

Disney theme park fans who frequent message boards are going to have a lot to chatter about come May 10 and that’s because the acclaimed ABC family comedy, ‘Modern Family’ will air its ‘Disneyland’ episode the night before, May 9. In the episode, the Pritchett-Dunphy-Tucker clan visits the theme park. And hilarity will ensue.
ABC has provided us with these photos from the episode as well as some behind-the-scenes photos of the cast with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse (no indication yet if the characters appear in the episode itself) as well as a couple of clips from the episode which aren’t afraid to challenge many of the observations made online about other park guests.
The competition heats up as the remaining six couples hit the ballroom with two rounds of competitive dance performances, a ballroom dance and the Trio dance — both of which will be a style that they’ve not yet performed, Monday, May 7 at 8:00 pm ET on ABC. During the Trio dance, a “DWTS” first, each couple will be allowed to add an extra professional dancer to their routine. The second dancer will be chosen from a pool of eliminated pros and members of The Troupe. In addition to their regular criteria for judging dance routines, the judges will pay extra attention to how well each celebrity is showcased in the performance with an extra dancer in the mix.
