For two of its upcoming mid-season replacement shows, ABC has launched two new Facebook apps which uses information from your own Facebook account as well as your friends to promote the concept behind the new series.
Jimmy Kimmel, star and executive producer of the late-night ABC talk show “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” will host the 64th Primetime Emmy® Awards, broadcast live coast to coast, Sunday, September 23, 2012 exclusively on ABC. This will be Kimmel’s first time hosting the Primetime Emmy telecast. Renowned director/producer Don Mischer will serve as executive producer for a record 12th time.

After last week’s sensational season opener, which proved to be one of the most competitive season premieres ever, all 12 couples return to the ballroom with another fabulous lineup of extraordinary performances. This week the couples will dance either the Jive or the Quickstep, Monday, March 26 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
A one-hour special, “Dancing with the Stars: The Story So Far,” airing Tuesday, March 27 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET), will recap the thrilling dance performances from last week’s premiere and from Monday’s performance show, along with never-before-seen footage from the teams’ confessionals and exciting backstage moments.
ABC Family sets a sizzling summer line-up with the world premiere of three new original series — the one-hour drama, “Bunheads,” the half-hour comedy series “Baby Daddy” and the one-hour docuseries “Beverly Hills Nannies.” Premiere dates have also been set for the hit ABC Family original series “Pretty Little Liars,” “The Secret Life of the American Teenager,” “Jane By Design” and “Melissa and Joey” to round-out the three nights of original programming line-up.
ABC Family and Fox TV Studios announced that production has begun on the latest installment in the popular “Home Alone” franchise, starring Malcolm McDowell, Debi Mazar, Edward Asner, Eddie Steeples, and Christian Martyn. The movie is set to premiere as part of the network’s annual “25 Days of Christmas” programming event.
Executive Producer Jeff Zucker today announced key production updates for Katie Couric’s highly anticipated nationally syndicated talk show, “Katie.” The live, weekday show has already been cleared in 94% of the country, and will premiere on Monday, September 10, 2012. The show is distributed by Disney-ABC Domestic Television.
In an internal webcast to television stations that will air “Katie,” Zucker unveiled the show’s logo, and announced additions to the senior production staff including Director Joe Terry, who has spent the last 14 years as Director for “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” and Co-Executive Producer Kathy Samuels. Samuels is a producer with nearly 20 years of television experience, including live television and daytime talk show programming at NBC, Paramount Domestic, and CBS, and has been a part of several successful launch teams, including “Rachael Ray” and “Access Hollywood.” Zucker will serve as the day-to-day showrunner.
Disney Junior recently launched a free preview of its new series, ‘Doc McStuffins,’ on iTunes. The show, which debuts on the new 24-hour Disney Junior Channel on March 23, 2012, chronicles the practice of a six year old who can communicate with and heal toys while promoting a healthy lifestyle for its viewers.
Available for eager fans to preview is one of the segments (each show consists of two of them), ‘Knight Time’ in which Doc and toy friends Lambie, Stuffy and Hallie call upon an old friend to join them in play, only to learn that time and poor hygiene have left the once shiny knight with a bad case of Filthy-Icky-Sticky Disease. Also featured is the show’s highly addictive theme song, written by Kay Hanley and Michelle Lewis.

While they hatch a plan to get back home to present day, the duo try to blend in as everyone around them spontaneously breaks into song and dance.
