ABC Family’s “25 Days of Christmas,” cable’s biggest programming event of the year, returns with 25 continuous days of holiday-themed entertainment for the whole family. From December 1 – 25, viewers can ring in the holidays with original movies, holiday specials and returning favorites.
ABC Family will ring in the New Year with the world premiere of a new one hour drama, “Jane By Design,” and with all-new episodes of returning original hit series “Switched at Birth,” “Pretty Little Liars” and “The Lying Game,” all set to premiere the first week of January 2012.

The theme song to the upcoming Pixie Hollow special, ‘Pixie Hollow Games,’ ‘Dig Down Deeper’ recently made its premiere on the Radio Disney Top 30 Countdown and will be available for purchase on iTunes as a single beginning on November 8. The music video, from which you can see stills and clip below, will premiere on Disney Channel on November 5.
On November 21, 2011, the iconic morning talk show will begin a new era. On “LIVE! with Kelly,” Kelly Ripa will welcome as guest co-host comedy superstar Jerry Seinfeld. Seinfeld, a long-time friend of the show, will join Ripa for three shows, airing November 21-23, 2011.
Among the guests stopping by to join Ripa and Seinfeld are actor Jason Segel, actress Kim Cattrall, comedian and host Howie Mandel, “Naked Chef” Jamie Oliver and the fabulous Miss Piggy from Disney’s The Muppets.

In this six-episode unscripted series, contestants aren’t out to win money for themselves, but are playing for someone else – someone they feel deserves it. Starting with a $ 10,000 round and going up to a $250,000 round, contestants purchase a series of clues to help them solve the puzzles and win money for their chosen recipient. But each clue will cost them — and the cost of each clue is randomly selected and won’t be revealed until after it has been purchased. The beneficiary, who is in another location under constant hidden-camera surveillance throughout the show, gets the surprise of a lifetime when family, friends, Brooke Burns and a camera crew burst in with life-changing news.

ABC Family announces that Chelsea Kane, best known for being a finalist on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” and who stars in Disney Channel’s “Jonas” as Stella and in the upcoming ABC Family movie musical, “Elixir” (working title), has been cast as Penny in the new half-hour comedy pilot, “Baby Daddy.” Kane joins previously announced cast including Derek Theler (“90210”) and Cameron Deane Stewart (“Justice for Natalie Holloway”).
Monday’s “Dancing with the Stars” kicks off live from the ballroom with an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the remaining couples as they get ready for their big Halloween night during the special ABC premiere of “Scared Shrekless,” which airs Monday, October 31 from 7:58-8:30 p.m., ET. Inspired by the hit feature film “Shrek,” viewers will join Shrek (Mike Myers) as he celebrates his favorite holiday, ogre-style. Shreck ditches the standard tricks or treats and challenges fairy-tale characters, including Donkey (Dean Edwards) and Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderas), to a scary storytelling contest. Just as the contest is set to begin, they all discover they must spend the night in Lord Farguaad’s haunted castle, and the last one to be scared “Shrekless” will win.
The Walt Disney Company (NYSE: DIS) and UTH Russia, one of the country’s fastest growing media companies, announced today that the two companies will launch an ad-supported free-to-air Disney Channel in Russia early next year. The broadly-distributed channel will appeal to families throughout Russia by featuring Disney’s popular signature programming, as well as original Russian content.
Disney/ABC Television Group (DATG) and Corus Entertainment today announced that they have entered into an expansive licensing agreement to launch ABC Spark, a dedicated millennial-focused channel and multi-platform offering, in Canada in Spring 2012. The channel will build on the foundation that DATG has created with ABC Family, its incredibly successful millennial brand in the U.S. This deal marks the first time in history that these two companies have entered into this type of licensing agreement for a 24-hour channel.
