ABC continues to ramp up its promotion of its the upcoming television special, ‘The Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland 60,’ this time releasing two ‘magical moment’ videos which highlight performances from the show. ABC has released a few video clips from the upcoming television special, ‘The Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland 60,’ which you can find embedded below. An all-new animated short ‘LEGO® Star Wars: The Resistance Rises – Poe to the Rescue’ featuring popular heroes and villains from Star Wars: The Force Awakens will premiere on Disney XD, Monday, February 15 at 8:00 pm ET/PT.
‘Poe to the Rescue’ is the first episode in ‘LEGO Star Wars: The Resistance Rises,’ a series of all-new animated shorts that take place prior to the First Order’s attack on Jakku and tell never-before-told stories including Kylo Ren, Han Solo, Finn, Rey, BB-8, Maz Kanata and more.
Last night at Disney California Adventure at the Disneyland Resort, Idina Menzel performed ‘Let It Go’ from Frozen to a sold-out crowd. The performance was taped for ABC’s upcoming television special, ‘The Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland 60,’ airing February 21 at 8:00 pm. ‘LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures’ is an all-new animated television series scheduled to debut this summer on Disney XD in the U.S. The fun-filled adventure comedy series will introduce all-new heroes and villains in exciting adventures with many familiar Star Wars characters.
Confirming earlier reports by Stitch Kingdom, Disney Junior has announced that a new multi-episode story arc premiering March 4 on Disney Channel will feature an addition to the McStuffins family. In the clip below, Mom explains to Doc that her new sibling won’t arrive in the way she and her brother did, but instead will be adopted into their ‘forever family.’

Just ahead of the New York International Toy Fair which kicks off Saturday, Febuary 13, Disney and Hasbro have shared a first look at the ‘Elena of Avalor’ doll being produced in support of the new animated Disney Junior series. The doll is seen here, held by Aimee Carrero, who voices the title character.
‘Elena of Avalor’ will first appear as part of a crossover episode on ‘Sofia the First’ before launching its own series. It was recently announced that Jenna Ortega will also star as Elena’s younger sister, Princess Isabel; and Chris Parnell, Yvette Nicole Brown and Carlos Alazraqui will voice Migs, Luna and Skylar respectively, magical flying creatures called Jaquins who support Elena as she learns how to rule her kingdom.
During the Q1 2016 conference earnings call, Disney Chief Operating Officer, Tom Staggs, announced that prior to the release of the Frozen sequel, a television special is currently under development and scheduled to air on ABC during holiday 2017.
In addition to the movie sequel and the holiday special, a Frozen themed attraction and pavilion is scheduled to open at Epcot at Walt Disney World in 2016 while a new stage show is scheduled to open this spring at Disney California Adventure, with a new themed land in development at Tokyo Disney Sea which will pay homage to the film in its own way.
Anthony Anderson, Molly Ringwald, Ellen Pompeo , Gabourey Sidibe and Vanessa Williams will guest star on Disney Junior’s critically acclaimed ‘Doc McStuffins,’ an animated series about a little girl who aspires to be a doctor like her mom and runs a clinic for stuffed animals and toys out of her backyard playhouse. They join previously announced guest star Christopher ‘Ludacris’ Bridges in Season Four, slated to debut this summer.
The new season will find Doc and her toy friends magically transported to a make-believe town, made up entirely of toys, where Doc serves as chief resident of the Toy Hospital.
