IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices) in Iraq have killed far too many of our brave troops. For others, they’ve marked the end of the road in their service there and, as with SSG Shilo Harris, the beginning of another long, hard road ahead to recovery. On Feb 19, 2007, while on patrol in Iraq, a massive IED struck the vehicle Shilo was in – blasting it to pieces. Shilo’s face and more than 40% of his body were terribly burned. But despite his catastrophic injuries, Shilo’s only concern was for the safety of the men under his command, and he would not allow himself to be medically treated until he received confirmation that his troops were out of harm’s way.

Yo ho ho! Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment announced today that the upcoming prime-time special of ‘Jake and the Never Land Pirates,’ ‘Peter Pan Returns’ (airing February 13 at 7 pm ET on Disney Channel) will be available to own on Disney DVD and Disney Digital Copy on April 3, 2012.
In the special, which features six all-new original songs, Peter Pan returns to Never Land and travels to Pirate Island to enlist the aid of Jake, Izzy, Cubby and Skully in finding his lost shadow.

Frank Valentini, executive producer of “General Hospital,” announced today that Emmy Award-nominated Kassie DePaiva and Emmy winner Roger Howarth, along with fan favorites Michael Easton and Kristen Alderson, will reprise their “One Life to Live” characters and head to “General Hospital” as part of a new storyline for the multi-Emmy Award-winning daytime drama. Production begins late January 2012 in Los Angeles.
“We have a very exciting story planned for the citizens of Port Charles, with Sonny Corinthos at the center of it! I am confident viewers and fans alike will be excited for the arrival of John (Easton), Starr (Alderson), Blair (DePaiva) and Todd (Howarth),” said Valentini. “Incorporating characters from ‘One Life to Live’ continue the legacy of the show as we weave them into ‘General Hospital.'”

Powered by its biggest yearly ratings ever, Disney XD will premiere more original content with “Lab Rats,” a comedy series about a teenager and his newfound “siblings,” a trio of super-human teens, who together must navigate typical high school and — not so typical — bionic glitches. The series will join Disney XD’s popular “Monday Mayhem” comedy block — led by the channel’s #1 series “Kickin’ It” — with a special one-hour episode on Monday, February 27 at 8:30 pm ET/PT hosted by the cast.
Replacing SOAPnet on most television content providers, Disney Channel today announced that its 24 hour channel, Disney Junior, aimed at the ‘preschool-plus’ market, will begin broadcasting on March 23.
At launch will be the new show, ‘Doc McStuffins,’ which heralds the tales of a six year old girl with a talent to be able to communicate with her stuffed animals and plays veterinarian to them. Future programs will include ‘Gaspard and Lisa,’ ‘Guess How Much I Love You,’ ‘Sofia the First’ and ‘Oki’s Oasis.’
