The season 13 star-studded cast and their professional partners get ready to break in their dancing shoes on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” for the long awaited two-hour Season Premiere, Monday, September 19 at 8:00 pm ETon the ABC Television Network.
In alphabetical order, with their professional partners, the 12 stars making their dancing debut are:
* RON ARTEST, NBA champion, partners with last season’s Troupe member PETA MURGATROYD, who makes her “Dancing with the Stars” debut as a professional partner this season.
* DAVID ARQUETTE, actor and producer, joins two-time champion KYM JOHNSON, who returns for her 10th season.
A dynamic lineup of stars – including a U.S. veteran, an NBA champion, a film and TV star, a TV host and journalist, a Grammy-nominated singer, a supermodel, a reality TV star, a showbiz legacy and activist, and a World Cup star — will take the stage for the two-hour season premiere of “Dancing with the Stars,” Monday, September 19 at 8:00 pm ET on the ABC Television Network.

Disney Channel has ordered a third season of its hit kid and family sitcom, “Good Luck Charlie.” Production is scheduled to resume in Los Angeles for a season premiere in early 2012. The series, created by Phil Baker and Drew Vaupen (“Suddenly Susan” and “What I Like About You”), is executive-produced by Baker, Vaupen and Dan Staley (“Cheers,” “Love & Money”) and stars Bridgit Mendler, Jason Dolley, Leigh-Allyn Baker, Bradley Steven Perry, Mia Talerico and Eric Allan Kramer.
“Good Luck Charlie” has also inspired a Disney Channel Original Movie, “Good Luck Charlie, It’s Christmas!,” set to premiere in December, starring the cast along with guest stars Debra Monk (“Damages,” “Grey’s Anatomy”) and Michael Kagan (“Desperate Housewives”).

The Weinstein Company announced earlier today that ABC has refused to air the commercial for Our Idiot Brother, which stars Paul Rudd. Noting other networks have aired the same ad, at contention for the ABC network are drug-related references and simulated urination using a juice box.
In response to the ban by ABC, a profanity-laden extended clip was released on the internet via AOL’s Moviefone which has appeared to removed it (but now available elsewhere).
The film company is owned by Bob and Harvey Weinstein, who created Miramax prior to its purchase (and subsequent sale) by The Walt Disney Company, also the parent company of ABC.
ABC is bringing an in-flight experience without having to leave the ground to New York’s Fashion Week attendees, September 8 -14. “Pan Am”-inspired stewardesses will be stationed at coffee carts offering up coffee and tea each morning to local New Yorkers and attendees of some of the biggest fashion shows in New York City.
In addition to providing beverages, stewardesses will also be handing out the must-have bags of the season – the highly coveted “Pan Am” Explorer bag, as well as “Pan Am” track bags — that people have been buzzing about since their debut at San Diego’s Comic-Con.

The contest, which runs from August 16 – September 6, invites Disney Fairies Fans to draw and share how they will train for the Pixie Hollow Games, with the grand prize winner receiving the ultimate viewing party kit.
