'Kingdom Hearts III'

During its presentation earlier today at E3, Square Enix and Disney Interactive announced the first announcement for the upcoming title ‘Kingdom Hearts III,’ the new world of Tangled, which was developed in direct partnership with Walt Disney Animation Studios. To celebrate the announcement, new screens plus a gameplay trailer was released. Fans of the highly-anticipated title will see Sora and his trusted friends, Donald Duck and Goofy, adventure through the world based on the hit animated feature film, Tangled. The trailer also gives new hints to the storyline and showcases gorgeous visuals, and new gameplay elements.

‘Star Wars: Uprising’ Mobile Game to Take Place Between Episodes Six and Seven

Kabam, in collaboration with The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) and Lucasfilm Ltd., today announced the development of Star Wars™: Uprising, the first mobile game to take place after Star Wars™: Episode VI Return of the Jedi™ and before Star Wars™: The Force Awakens™. Developed by the industry-leading team at Kabam RPG Studio in San Francisco under the direction of Senior Vice President Aaron Loeb, Star Wars™: Uprising will allow players to create their own unique character, go on missions, and build their gear and skills, while amassing a powerful crew and cartel to join in large-scale sector-wide battles that dictate the future of the game universe. Players will also be able to engage in real-time co-op with friends against the Empire.

‘Frozen: Early Science’ Imagicademy App Lets Children Cook with Olaf, Care for Baby Reindeer with Anna

Frozen: Early ScienceDisney Publishing Worldwide today released its first Frozen: Early Science app from Disney Imagicademy for Apple iOS devices. Focusing on cooking and taking care of animals and geared for children aged 3-5, it is the first of four in a series to be released this summer.

The Frozen: Early Science apps are designed to reward observation, experimentation and deduction, skills that are the building blocks of the scientific process. Each app features environments, themes and beloved characters from the Academy Award-winning film, including Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff, Sven and more.

‘Disney Infinity’ Adds ‘Tron Legacy’ Digital Figures to iOS, PC Games (Concept Art, Screens)

'Disney Infinity' TRON Legacy Sam and QuorraDisney Interactive announced the final two characters for the Disney Infinity (2.0 Edition) line up – Tron’s Sam Flynn and Quorra. The characters are now available as digital exclusives for Disney Infinity (2.0 Edition) via the Disney Infinity: Toy Box 2.0 iOS app for $2.99 each, and will be available for PC in March 2015. Both will join all of the previously announced Disney and Marvel characters in the Toy Box mode.

'Big Hero 6: Baymax Blast'When it comes to Disney and mobile apps, there are pretty much two things you can rely on: first is that there is almost always at least one tie-in app/game for a movie; second is that Disney Digital Books has consistently been releasing near flawless apps that go well above and beyond expectations. ‘Big Hero 6: Baymax Blast‘ betrays neither of these. In fact, I would go as far as to suggest that reading this review would be a mistake as it will take away from potential play time. Nonetheless, here it is.

‘Star Wars Battle Pod’ Arcade Game to Launch in 2015; NYCC Preview

Star Wars Battle PodsBandai Namco today announced the upcoming worldwide launch of ‘Star Wars: Battle Pod,’ a high-speed arcade game set in the Star Wars galaxy. Featuring arcade-exclusive gameplay on a unique dome screen enveloping your entire area of sight, ‘Star Wars: Battle Pod’ will first be available with a U.S. launch in January 2015 at participating arcades around the country. For those in the New York City area who don’t wish to wait to check out the game, it will be on display at Dave and Buster’s in Times Square through November 2.

As the sequel to ‘Kingdom Hearts 1.5 ReMIX,’ the new trailer offers fans a run-through of timeless highlights, scenarios and gameplay from ‘Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix’ and ‘Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep Final Mix, ‘as well as cinematics from ‘Kingdom Hearts Re:coded.’ All three games are re-rendered with HD graphics and new visual upgrades that bring these classic titles to life on the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system.

‘Epic Mickey 2′ Released for PC via Steam; Disney Interactive Puts More Than 20 Titles Up

Though it enjoyed a quite limited release in the Czech Republic, the once-promised PC version of  'Epic Mickey 2'‘Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two ‘ failed to make it onto the shelves anywhere else in the world, least of all the United States.

Like Oswald, however, the title was gone — but not forgotten — and has now emerged as part of an entire collection of games Disney Interactive has released via the Steam community. ‘Epic Mickey 2‘ is one of more than twenty titles that were just recently released on Steam with more titles on the way. To celebrate the releases, all Disney Steam titles are 10% off through this weekend, so ‘Epic Mickey 2′ can be had for $17.99 (regular price, $19.99).
