The Disney/Pixar Brave edition of Temple Run from Imangi Studios and Disney Mobile is now available for Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices, ahead of the official June 14 release date. The app is priced at $.99 but includes 2500 ‘free’ coins (coincidentally, a $.99 value).
At E3, Disney Interactive Studios has confirmed a Stitch Kingdom report from earlier this month that it would be releasing a spin-off of its popular ‘Where’s My Water?’ mobile game, featuring Perry the Platypus /aka/ Agent P from Disney XD’s ‘Phineas and Ferb.’
In ‘Where’s My Perry?,’ Perry is summoned into action by his boss, Major Monogram, but he gets trapped in the complicated network of tubes that typically lead him to the briefing room instead.
Using mechanics from the game that inspired it, the water streams are influenced by Dr. Doofenshmirtz and his ‘crazy-nators’ that can turn water into steam and ice on command.
At E3, Disney Interactive has announced that it has licensed the Disney/Pixar Brave property to Imangi Studios, developer for the popular freemium mobile game, ‘Temple Run.’ In the new game, set to be released on Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Android devices on June 14, 2012, the player assumes the role of Merida who is chased by a bear. In addition to the standard game play, Merida can also show off her archery skills by shooting targets along the way.

With E3 just around the corner, if we could ask Disney Mobile just one question, it would be ‘whatcha doooooo-in?’ But if we could ask Disney Mobile two questions, the first would be ‘whatcha dooooo-in?’ and the second would be ‘Hey, Where’s My Perry?’
We’re pretty sure both questions (and a whole lot more) will be answered next week, whether we ask them or not, so we’ll just use our handy cutoutthemiddleman-inator and offer up some possible evidence that a ‘Where’s My Water?’ and ‘Phineas and Ferb’ cross-over is about to surface.

Earlier today, Disney/ABC Television Group’s Digital Media team released two new apps starring Disney Junior favorites, ‘Jake and the Never Land Pirates’ (iOS Universal) and ‘Mickey Mouse Clubhouse’ (iPad only), allowing the popular interactive shows to become even more engaging with their audiences.
When on site and at an eligible film, the app allows access to bonus content, allows users to compete in trivia games against other FilmPulse users at the theater, offers savings opportunities, gifts such as free popcorn and more.
After what appears to be alligator years of anticipation and teases, Disney Interactive Studios will finally release its latest pack of puzzles for the paid version of ‘Where’s My Water?,’ ‘Caution to the Wind’ tomorrow. The upgrade, which remains free to those who have already purchased the $.99 app, adds fans to the mix which allows players to combine logic and the power of wind to control the streams of liquids throughout the sewers all in the name of getting mascot Swampy clean.
Shazam today announced that its ‘Shazam for TV’ experience will be used to enhance the entire Super Bowl experience this Sunday, from the game itself, to the halftime show with Madonna, to the commercials. According to Shazam, nearly half of the advertisers during the game will incorporate Shazam’s ‘second screen’ technology to allow viewers to interact socially, unlock bonus content, enter sweepstakes and more.
Whether you’ve never visited the Disneyland Resort or have visited it a thousand times, a new official app will help guests bring a taste of the magic everywhere with the new ‘Disneyland Explorer‘ app for Apple iPad devices.
Rather than using the hub-centric layout of the park, Disneyland Explorer creates what is essentially a panoramic view of Disneyland, Disney California Adventure and the Disneyland Resort Hotels. As you pan across lands and attractions, you’ll get a dose of all the sights and sounds with park icons and background music and even characters. The visual experience is enhanced by crude but effective animations such as Dumbo flying over Sleeping Beauty Castle, Casey Jr chugging away in Fantasyland and more. Each of the items provides an element of interactiveness, from tips to photos to immersive, interactive experiences.
You really have to hand it to Disney Interactive Studios’ mobile games unit. It would have been quite acceptable enough to have simply released ‘Where’s My Water?’ and left it at that and it would still stand today as a shining example as to how mobile apps should be made.
Yet they didn’t. In the three months that followed the game’s initial release on the Apple iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad (and subsequently Android devices), Disney released three expansion packs — sixty new levels, each offering a unique element of play, all at no additional cost. Not to mention ‘Where’s My Water? Free’ which doled out a few surprises of its own.
