Disney Interactive and Gameloft have released a teaser trailer for ‘Disney Magic Kingdoms,’ a mobile experience coming soon to Apple iOS, Android and Windows handheld devices. First announced at Disney D23 Expo last year, the game allows players to incorporate Disney theme park attractions and experiences from around the world to create their own personalized theme park. As play progresses, a story begins to emerge which plots Disney villains against the player who can team up with Disney heroes for control of the park — not unlike Ridley Pearson’s Kingdom Keepers series.
Marvel and TinyCo have officially launched ‘Marvel Avengers Academy,’ a freemium simulation game which re-imagines Marvel characters as high schoolers and allows the gamer to create their own superhero academy. It is now available free on the App store.
The app’s official description is as follows:
Experience the MARVEL Avengers as you’ve never seen them before!
Build the ultimate Super Hero academy, and play as your favorite Avengers characters reimagined as students developing their superpowers. Enroll today and become a hero!

Finding just the perfect seat at Fantasmic! at Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios can be a daunting task. And what if — after battling the crowds to find it — your family decides their hungry and want some popcorn and soft drinks, or even ‘Made with Magic’ merchandise? Wouldn’t it be amazing if there was an app for that? Oh, but there is! And guests visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios between today and May 12, 2015 have the opportunity to try out the new pilot program.

Disney Interactive announced the final two characters for the Disney Infinity (2.0 Edition) line up – Tron’s Sam Flynn and Quorra. The characters are now available as digital exclusives for Disney Infinity (2.0 Edition) via the Disney Infinity: Toy Box 2.0 iOS app for $2.99 each, and will be available for PC in March 2015. Both will join all of the previously announced Disney and Marvel characters in the Toy Box mode.
Key highlights include:

When it comes to Disney and mobile apps, there are pretty much two things you can rely on: first is that there is almost always at least one tie-in app/game for a movie; second is that Disney Digital Books has consistently been releasing near flawless apps that go well above and beyond expectations. ‘Big Hero 6: Baymax Blast‘ betrays neither of these. In fact, I would go as far as to suggest that reading this review would be a mistake as it will take away from potential play time. Nonetheless, here it is.
As we announced yesterday, Disney Interactive today released ‘Maleficent Free Fall’ for Apple iOS and Android devices (now available through the App Store and Google Play respectively), the follow-up to its highly successful (and addictive) ‘Frozen Free Fall.’ So how does the new game stack up versus its predecessor? After about an hour and several levels of play, here’s my take:
