Maya Dolittle and her entourage of animal friends are back with more hair-raising hijinks when they take Hollywood by storm in “Doctor Dolittle: Million Dollar Mutts” on ABC Family, Sunday, April 11 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT). The premiere is part of the network’s “Dolittle” movie marathon event beginning with “Dr. Dolittle” (2:00-4:00 PM ET/PT), “Dr. Dolittle 3” (4:00-6:00 PM ET/PT), “Dr. Dolittle: Tail to the Chief” (6:00-8:00 PM ET/PT).
When Maya Dolittle (Kyla Pratt), daughter of the famed Doctor Dolittle, learns that her veterinary program will leave her interacting on software instead of using her gift to directly communicate with animals, she’s left crushed and confused about her future. But things start to look up after Maya is discovered by television starlet Tiffany Monaco (Tegan Moss) during a chance spot on a news segment. Tiffany persuades Maya to go to Hollywood to solve Tiffany’s puppy problem. Maya starts to live the good life with private jets, shopping sprees and a handsome leading actor by her side. She’s tricked into staying in Tinsel Town when a scheming Hollywood executive convinces Maya that she can channel her talents and share her gifts with the world in her very own television show. But as Maya’s star rises, she begins to realize her gifts are being exploited and she’s forgotten her original mission to help animals. Now, with the help of both her animal and human friends, Maya will have to devise the ultimate plan to break free from her contract!
