It was in 1933 when Ingersoll Waterbury Clock Company began selling a wristwatch with the image of Mickey Mouse gracing the face of it. Since then, it has become a virtual rite of passage for every man, woman and child to own at least one Mickey Mouse watch during their lifetime.
Now Mickey will be joined by Minnie Mouse as well as other Disney characters including the Muppets’ Kermit the Frog and Animal as some of the eighteen choices for a digital clock face on the new 7th generation iPod nano, now available from Apple. The iPod nano now boasts larger icons for easier-to-use navigation and a Multi-Touch user interface. It also includes built-in fitness features which include the ability to track the time, pace and distance of your run, the calories you burn, and the number of steps you walk, with motivational real-time voice feedback during your run in addition to listening to your favorite music or FM radio station. You can also easily upload workouts to the Nike+ website to set goals, track your progress and challenge friends.
iPod nano is available today for a suggested price of $129 (US) for the 8GB model and $149 (US) for the 16GB model. Both models are available in silver, graphite, blue, green, orange and pink through the Apple Store® (www.apple.com), Apple’s retail stores and Apple Authorized Resellers. The 8GB and 16GB iPod nano (PRODUCT) RED is available through the Apple Store (www.apple.com) and Apple’s retail stores.
