Cars Land Seeks Silent Comedian, Dance Crew Host at Disney California Adventure

In preparation for the launch of Cars Land at Disney California Adventure at the Disneyland Resort, casting notices have been issued for two separate roles to interact with guests in the new Radiator Springs-themed land.

The first role is for a male physical comedian with physical comedy and improvisational skills. The act is described as ‘non-verbal,’ and as a ‘Charlie Chaplin meets Cirque clown.’ Although every physical type is encouraged to audition, the casting notice notes specifically that deaf actors are also encouraged to audition for the part.

Disney Parks is also looking for a female dancer/host for the role of ‘Spinner,’ the leader of a small dance crew that will partake in an ‘interactive dance party that travels the streets of Cars Land.’ The role requires interaction with both guests as well as an unnamed character from Disney/Pixar’s Cars.
