Cars Land concept artOne of the largest and most expensive theme park attractions ever built, Radiator Springs Racers will be the anchor in the Cars Land expansion at Disney California Adventure at the Disneyland Resort, set to open summer of 2012. Based on the technology of Epcot’s Test Track technology, the attraction will place guests in the role of a Cars citizen as they take a leisurely stroll through the area, encountering many of the characters from the Disney/Pixar film, before getting involved in a virtual high-speed race against another vehicle filled with guests.

This video, purported to have been leaked, is from some sort of presentation, presumably by Walt Disney Imagineering, on Cars Land. It features a pre-visualization (previz) of the attraction which includes audio, a first-person POV and an overhead view of the vehicle moving along the track.

The end of the presentation notes that much of the audio featured in the previz is just an example of what the guest will experience and that many other scenarios are possible, adding to the re-rideability of the attraction.

Radiator Springs Racers will be joined by fellow attractions Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree and Luigi’s Flying Tires, a tribute to the former Disneyland attraction, Flying Saucers.
