Disney Channel Gets Busted in Marblehead, MA While Filming New Series ‘My Family Tree’

Twelve year old Noah Gerry prepares to film Disney Channel's 'My Family Tree' (Leigh Blander/Marblehead Patch)A couple of related stories this morning caught my eye this morning courtesy of the Marblehead Patch in Massachusetts which reports on a recent visit from Disney Channel. According to this feature article, Disney Channel was in town to film an episode for a new series (possibly short-form) titled ‘My Family Tree’ expected to begin airing in November.  The highlighted subject of the episode is 12 year old Noah Gerry, a descendant of Elbridge Gerry, the Vice-President under James Madison. Noah doesn’t live in Marblehead, in fact this was his first visit to the town, but it was Marblehead where Vice-President Gerry was born and raised. Noah and his family toured the town, visiting and reporting on various locations important to the life of his famous ancestor including the home Elbridge Gerry was born in.

However the tears that must have rained down that day could not have all been joyous as the Patch also reports that the police were called to the scene by a woman who believed they were ‘taking and damaging the police sign on the corner.’  The Patch reported that following an investigation by the police, all was well. This time.
