Tanks to Walt Disney Studios and Pixar Animation Studios, we get a fresh look at some concept art from its upcoming release of Cars 2: World Grand Prix. Hot on the heels of earlier news of the first official teaser, the newly released concept art provides us a glimpse as Piston Cup hero Lightning McQueen races around the world in the hopes of winning the first World Grand Prix.

While Lightning races through the streets around the world, Tow Mater finds himself wrapped up in a world of mystery and intrigue as he’s mistaken for a top spy — unfortunately he doesn’t have a clue (the perfect disguise!). Marvel as the best friends race through Italy’s Porto Corsa as they fight the urge to indulge in the country’s most tempting offerings: boating, beaches and pasta al pesto. Be amazed as they drift along the streets of Tokyo as well as the shadows of Mount Fuji. Drop your jaw as they visit the sites of Paris: the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe and the Notre Dame car-goyles. Punch someone near you in the shoulder as they stare down fear in England, leaving London’s attraction Big Bentley in the dust.

Starring the original voice talents of Owen Wilson and Larry The Cable Guy, Cars 2 races into theaters nationwide on June 24, 2011 in Disney Digital 3D and IMAX 3D.
