First Ink & Paint Cel to Feature Walt Disney, ‘Dreams Come True,’ to be Released September 11 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
On Saturday, September 11, join Disney Ink and Paint Artists: James Bonserio, Erin Magill, Theodora M. DeLaney, David Rippberger, Lynn Rippberger, Sharon K. Vincent as they celebrate the premiere of the Dreams Come True entry into the Ink and Paint Cel series. Celebrating the genesis of The Walt Disney Company in which Walt Disney creates Mickey Mouse on a train ride from New York to Los Angeles, the creator is pictured seated on the train while Mickey Mouse is getting ready to board. This Ink and Paint Cel also represents the first in the series in which Walt Disney is depicted.
The event will take place between 10 am – 1 pm and 2 pm – 5 pm at the Studios Animation Gallery in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The cel is hand-painted and a limited edition of 1500 pieces. As an extra bonus, the first 750 framed pieces sold will be accompanied by a matching limited edition pin created for the release.
For those unable to attend the event, you may contact Walt Disney Event Services at 407-827-7600 to pre-order your cel. Artist signatures will only be available for orders placed before or on Friday, September 10, 2010 by 3:00 pm ET.
