Gipsy Kings perform 'You've Got a Friend in Me (Para Buzz Español)' for Toy Story 3 ©Disney/PixarFilmmakers called on Gipsy Kings for a flamenco-flavored rendition of ‘You’ve Got a Friend in Me’ in Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story 3. The world-famous band recorded ‘You’ve Got a Friend in Me (Para Buzz Español)’ in London at the legendary Abbey Road Studios.

‘In Toy Story 3, Buzz Lightyear accidentally gets switched into Spanish-language mode, and there’s a fun Paso Doble-inspired dance between “Spanish Buzz”‘ and Jessie,’ says director Lee Unkrich. ‘We got the crazy idea to have a band record a raucous flamenco cover of Toy Story‘s signature song in Spanish, and we thought the Gipsy Kings would be perfect.’

Hitting theaters this summer, Toy Story 3 is a comical new 3D adventure, featuring Buzz, Woody and the gang as Andy gears up for college and his loyal toys find themselves in… daycare! The Toy Story 3 soundtrack will be available digitally from Walt Disney Records on June 15 and is currently available for pre-order on Amazon.com.
