Fans of Disney’s animated classic Disney’s The Little Mermaid will now have another chance to see ‘Disney’s The Little Mermaid Live in Concert’ at the Hollywood Bowl on Monday, June 6. The first two nights of this concert event sold out within hours when it was announced that an all-star cast of performers would be singing the songs from the Oscar® and Grammy®-winning score as the film plays on the Bowl’s movie screen accompanied by a full, live orchestra. Tickets for the third and final concert go on sale at ticketmaster.com at 10:00am Pacific on Wednesday, April 27.
For this performance, Disney Legend Jodi Benson will be singing in the role of Ariel. She joins Rebel Wilson as Ursula and the singing cast which includes John Stamos as Chef Louis, Tituss Burgess as Sebastian (whom he originally played on Broadway in Disney’s ‘The Little Mermaid’), Norm Lewis as King Triton (whom he originally played on Broadway Disney’s ‘The Little Mermaid’), Darren Criss as Prince Eric and Joshua Colley as Flounder.
For this performance only, the Opening Guest Stars will include original Disney animation voice talents Susan Egan, who was Meg in the Disney animated feature film Hercules as well as the first Belle on Broadway in Disney’s ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and Brad Kane who was the singing voice of Aladdin in Disney’s animated feature film.
This will be a special family event at the Hollywood Bowl filled with an ocean of treats including a fireworks spectacular, costume contest, and other surprises.
As Disney’s The Little Mermaid plays on the Hollywood Bowl’s movie screen, a 71-piece orchestra and 12-person choir will be performing the film’s Oscar-winning score and songs live to film.
