donnie dunagan peter behn abcdonna svennevik 106x160 Photo: Bambi Stars Meet for First Time on ABCs The ViewAmong the guests on the March 4th edition of the ABC morning talkshow, ‘The View,’ were Bambi voice actors Donnie Dunagan and Peter Behn who, as children, provided the voices of Bambi and Thumper respectively.

As opposed to live action films where actors do physically perform together for the most part, in animation, roles are usually performed and recorded separately. This allows for individual lines to be recorded over and over for optimal delivery choices, but inherently doesn’t allow the actors to play off of each other.

As fate would have it, Dunagan and Behn, despite performing in the iconic film seven decades ago and sharing the unique and special bond, had never met face to face until this morning.
