This past weekend, Bobby Lopez, who recently took home multiple Tony Awards for his contribution to ‘The Book of Mormon,’ and wife Kristen Anderson-Lopez held a private screening of Winnie the Pooh at the Crosby Street Hotel in New York City. Below are some photos of the event whose attendees included Broadway star Kerry Butler (currently starring in Broadway’s ‘Catch Me If You Can’ and was once Belle in Disney’s ‘Beauty and the Beast), actress Edie Falco (of ‘The House of Blue Leaves on Broadway) and her daughter and the film’s star himself, Winnie the Pooh. Toy Story 3 director, Lee Unkrich, and Pooh theme song chanteuse Zooey Deschanel were also reportedly among those who attended the event.
Bobby and Kristen Lopez wrote all new songs for the movie, which will be released in North America on July 15, 2011. Kristen Anderson-Lopez also provides the voice of Kanga for the film.
Below are some photos from the event.
