Variety is reporting that Pixar Animation Studios has provided updates on projects previously announced at last year’s Disney D23 Expo. The announcements came during the industry’s CinemaCon currently being held in Las Vegas, NV.
The first announcement is that Bob Peterson’s Dinosaur project (previously jokingly titled The Untitled Pixar Movie About Dinosaurs) is now titled The Good Dinosaur and will be released in theaters on May 30, 2014. The film centers on an alternate universe in which dinosaurs never became extinct and end up cohabiting with humans.
The other project announced at Disney D23 Expo is Pete Docter’s still-titled Untitled Pixar Project That Takes You Inside the Brain which explores the inner goings on of the mind of a young female protagonist. That film is slated to make its theatrical debut on June 19, 2015.
Also announced is a new project from Lee Unkrich which will be based on the popular Mexican holiday, Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead.
