Several months ago, we revealed on Twitter that there would be a new phase for Hiro Hamada, Baymax, Gogo Tomago, Honey Lemon, Wasabi and Fred from the universe of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Big Hero 6. Although we didn’t know much about the new project, our source did advise us that it would surface for the holiday season this year and would involve a new look for the team. The source also advised us that the new project would not be based in video, but teased that it will present the team in a whole new form. Along with the new generation of Big Hero 6, there would be — of course — merchandising and recently, new product featuring the ‘Big Hero 6 Stealth’ team has surfaced online in the form of pre-orders. While they essentially appear to be repaints of previously released action figures from Bandai, they do give us a good look at what the ‘Big Hero 6 Stealth’ team will look like.

We may be misremembering or misunderstood what the source told us exactly, but what we do know for sure is that it won’t be a feature length film. While we do believe the source indicated it would not be in the form of of film at all, it’s still possible we could be looking at a new short or even a 30 minute animated holiday special, or we could have just understood correctly and we may soon see Big Hero 6 in a whole new form. In any event, hopefully we will find out next week at the D23 Expo being held in Anaheim.

  1. I wish they would’ve given each of them new moulds, Hiro, Fred and GoGo are fine, but the other 3 deserve a better figure.
