'Secretariat' Theatrical Poster from Walt Disney StudiosWalt Disney Studios has just sent us this first look at this gorgeous poster for its upcoming release Secretariat starring Diane Lane and John Malkovich.

Based on the remarkable true story, Secretariat chronicles the spectacular journey of the 1973 Triple Crown winner.  Housewife and mother Penny Chenery (Lane) agrees to take over her ailing father’s Virginia-based Meadow Stables, despite her lack of horse-racing knowledge.  Against all odds, Chenery—with the help of veteran trainer Lucien Laurin (Malkovich)—manages to navigate the male-dominated business, ultimately fostering the first Triple Crown winner in 25 years and what may be the greatest racehorse of all time.

Secretariat is slated to open in North American theaters on October 8, 2010. Be sure to bookmark all of our coverage for the film.

  1. Are you kidding? Its counterfeit! WHAT THE HELL KINDA FOREIGN CRAP POSTER IS THIS? Its not from Disney at all…Look at the credits below! An international poster would still have the names right..lemme guess….LEGIS ULLAMEN is gaelic for RANDALL WALLACE???? WTF. EST FILIUS SUIS….what is that? LATIN???? For crying out loud…you know this is nothing DISNEY approved. This has got to breaking some kind of copyright law and Disney's about to fire off a cease and desist.

  2. That's actually a good catch. Obviously the credits have yet to be
finalized, but this is authentic from Walt Disney Studios. Whether they
meant to send me one that's incomplete is another question.

    Lorem ipsum.
