‘Tomorrowland’ Begins Filming in Vancouver

Principal photography has begun on Disney’s mystery adventure Tomorrowland, starring two-time Academy Award winner George Clooney, Hugh Laurie, Britt Robertson, Raffey Cassidy and Thomas Robinson. The film is directed, produced and co-written by two-time Oscar winner Brad Bird. Damon Lindelof and Jeffrey Chernov are also producers. The screenplay is written by Brad Bird and Damon Lindelof from a story by Lindelof & Jeff Jensen and Brad Bird.

Jeff Jensen and John Walker will executive produce with Bernard Bellew and Tom Peitzman, VFX producer serving as co-producers.

Bound by a shared destiny, a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity and a former boy-genius inventor jaded by disillusionment embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space that exists in their collective memory as Tomorrowland.

Bird has gathered a great team behind the lens with Oscar winning director of photography Claudio Miranda, production designer Scott Chambliss, Oscar nominated costume designer Jeffrey Kurland and Academy Award-winning editor Walter Murch.

Tomorrowland will be released through Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures on December 12, 2014.
