Back in September, we first reported on a move by Disney that it was working on a project titled ‘TRON: Uprising.’ Although we associated it with a known micro-series project, Variety today reports that it will in fact be a brand new ongoing series that will debut on Disney XD in summer of 2012.
According to the article, voice talents attached to the show include Elijah Wood, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Mandy Moore, Paul Reubens and Lance Henriksen. In addition, Bruce Boxleitner will reprise his role as Tron as he does in the upcoming motion picture release TRON: Legacy.
Variety also brings news of a brand new live-action comedy series ‘A.N.T. Farm,’ about a 12-year-old musical prodigy (played by China McClain) and ‘Wasabi Warriors,’ about a ragtag group of kids at the worst martial arts studio in the country.
The title characters of ‘Phineas and Ferb’ will also play host in a new series of interstitials titled ‘Take Two with Phineas and Ferb’ premiering on December 3. Guests already scheduled to appear on the segments include Seth Rogen, Andy Samberg, Tony Hawk and Randy Jackson.
