Back in mid-October, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Online (WDPRO) quietly obtained DisneyParksInsidears.com and several variations of the term insidears/insidear (except for the innoventive insidear.com which, according to a WHOIS search, has belonged to a third party since 2005).
So just what plans does Disney Parks and Resorts have for the Insidears? According to recent, multiple service mark applications, the Disney Parks Insidears website will feature advice and information, news and commentary in the field of travel as well as the field of entertainment. Sound familiar? Except this time, the advice will evidently come directly from the source (or the Moms Panel could simply be facing a name change, but that makes for less of an interesting story, n’est-ce pas?)
Oddly enough, however, while the bulk of the website name registrations have been pluralized, the service mark itself is not.
On a semi-related noted, a short while ago, Disney Parks and Resorts also filed a service mark for ‘Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom.’ Admittedly we have no clue what this will entail, but we definitely found the name intriguing.
