‘We Love Disney’ French Versions of Disney Songs Including ‘Let It Go’ Available March 25

'We Love Disney'Contemporary artists from France and Montreal unite to perform their renditions of songs from classic Disney animated films on ‘We Love Disney,’ which will be available digitally on March 25 from Amazon.

Films included in the collection include Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (‘Someday My Prince Will Come’), Pinocchio (‘When You Wish Upon A Star’), Mary Poppins (‘Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious’), The Jungle Book (‘I Wanna Be Like You,’ ‘The Bare Necessities’), Aristocats (‘Everybody Wants to be a Cat’), Beauty and the Beast (‘Beauty and the Beast’), Aladdin (‘Prince Ali,’ ‘A Whole New World,’ ‘Friend Like Me’), The Lion King (‘Circle of Life,’ ‘Can  You Feel the Love Tonight,’ ‘Hakuna Matata’),  Pocahontas (‘Colors of the Wind’), Hunchback of Notre Dame (‘Out There’), The Princess and the Frog (‘Almost There’) and Frozen (‘Let It Go’).

Perhaps what’s most interesting, however, is that the titles and lyrics are often changed to make more sense colloquially. ‘Can You Feel The Love Tonight’ is actually known as ‘Love Sparkles Under the Stars,’ ‘Friend Like Me’ is ‘I’m Your Best Friend,’ ‘A Whole New World’ is ‘This Blue Dream,’ ‘Almost There’ roughly translates to ‘The dreaming is almost over’ and so on.

For more information, including sampling the songs, or to order ‘We Love Disney’ when it becomes available, visit Amazon.
