During ‘the big game,’ Walt Disney Studios has debuted its newest advertisement for for Tomorrowland (May 22, 2015), directing viewers to TakeMeToTomorrowland.com, which you can find embedded below. If you choose to go to TakeMeToTomorrowland.com, while it shows the ad for the Super Bowl, periodically the Tomorrowland pin will pop up above it. Clicking it instantly takes you to the Tomorrowland concept art which you can explore in high resolution, zooming in and out.
ABC Family has announced production has started this week on pilots for new comedies ‘Kevin From Work’ and ‘Tough Cookie.’ Both pilots are single-camera and are shooting in Los Angeles.
‘Kevin from Work’ is a half-hour workplace comedy about a young man unluckily in love who professes his love to a co-worker, thinking he’ll never see her again after he accepts a job offer overseas. But then that job offer is rescinded, and now they have to continue to work with each other. The comedy stars Noah Reid as Kevin, Paige Spara as Audrey, Matt Murray as Brian, Jordan Hinson as Roxie, Punam Patel as Patti, with guest star Amy Sedaris as Julia. ‘Kevin from Work’ is written, created and executive-produced by Barbie Adler. Aaron Kaplan at Kapital Entertainment and McG at Wonderland Sound & Vision will serve as Executive Producers. McG will also direct the pilot.

Ahead of Sunday’s Super Bowl XLIX game, Walt Disney Studios has launched a new viral website for Tomorrowland (May 22, 2015). Located at TakeMeToTomorrowland.com, the site appears to ‘randomly’ cycle through numbers at first glance, but periodically switches to a live countdown which appears to count down to 6:30 pm ET on Sunday, February 1, the date of the Super Bowl. Yesterday, it was announced that there will be a television spot promoting the Brad Bird film during the game, so it appears that it is expected to air around that time. In addition, the site features the slogan ‘The Future Awaits,’ as well as the ability to enter one’s email address for further updates.

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment today has released a clip from a bonus feature from the 101 Dalmatians Diamond Edition Blu-ray combo pack, which will be available to own along with Disney Movies Anywhere and On Demand on February 10, 2015. The clip, titled ‘Spots’ appears to be from the ‘Dalmatians 101′ bonus and features animators Rolly Crump and Floyd Norman, amongst others, talking about their work on the animated classic. Now available for pre-order.
Inspired by Latin cultures, Princess Elena of Avalor, a confident and compassionate teenager in an enchanted fairytale kingdom inspired by diverse Latin cultures and folklore, will be introduced in a special episode of Disney Junior’s hit series ‘Sofia the First’ scheduled for a 2016 premiere. That exciting story arc will usher in the 2016 launch of the animated series ‘Elena of Avalor,’ a production of Disney Television Animation. The announcement was made today by Nancy Kanter, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Disney Junior Worldwide.

At a private media event held at the Disneyland theme park earlier tonight, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts announced initial plans for the 60th anniversary of the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California.
Announcements for the year-long celebration, which officially kicks of on May 22, 2015, included:
- An update to Disney California Adventure’s ‘World of Color,’ dubbed ‘World of Color: Celebrate! The Wonderful World of Walt Disney ‘ and will pay homage to the legacy of Walt Disney. In the new show, Mickey Mouse will take guests on a fun-filled and inspirational journey through the unparalleled imagination of Walt Disney, exploring his decades-long legacy of memorable animated moments and the dream of Disneyland park. The show will combine animated imagery, live-action footage, fountains, lasers, special effects and a musical score.
