Confirming earlier reports by Stitch Kingdom, Disney Junior has announced that a new multi-episode story arc premiering March 4 on Disney Channel will feature an addition to the McStuffins family. In the clip below, Mom explains to Doc that her new sibling won’t arrive in the way she and her brother did, but instead will be adopted into their ‘forever family.’
If you hadn’t seen the presentation at the Disney D23 Expo last year, you might have reason to believe that Disney’s Pete’s Dragon remake is as imaginary as Elliott himself. With the movie debuting on August 12, 2016, Disney marketing has had its hands full with films like The Finest Hours, Zootopia, Captain America: Civil War, The Jungle Book, Alice Through The Looking Glass, Finding Dory and The BFG to promote. Yet the public has still seen more of Moana and Doctor Strange than it has of Pete’s Dragon — not even a first look image.
FULL DISCLOSURE: Although Disney Cruise Line has stopped short of outright saying so, recent casting calls have announced a new show coming to the Disney Wonder (presumably to replace ‘Toy Story’ whose closure has already been announced). The ‘new’ roles, described below, are scheduled to begin in late summer of 2016.
The following has been officially announced: the new show will be directed by noted Broadway director Sheryl Kaller (‘Mothers and Sons’ and ‘Next Fall’) and choreographed by Joshua Prince (Carole King’s ‘Beautiful’ and ‘Shrek’).

Earlier this year, we broke news about a new campaign Disney has launched titled ‘Dream Big, Princess.’ The campaign has already begun to manifest itself with signage at Target stores nationwide, as well as internationally.
Today, Disney has released a 90 second spot titled ‘Dream Big, Princess: Be A Champion’ which is set to The Script’s ‘Hall of Fame’ and kicks off with the message ‘For every girl who dreams big, there’s a princess to show her it’s possible.’ The spot compares imagery from Disney’s films including Brave, Tangled, The Little MermaidThe Princess and the Frog and Cinderella to real life footage of young girls excelling in sports and sciences.
It’s become one of the world’s worst kept secrets that Disney Parks has devised of a way to use drones in its nighttime entertainment offerings and is currently lobbying the FAA to allow them to do so. Walt Disney Animation Studios has released a new clip from its upcoming film, Zootopia (March 4, 2016), which you can find embedded below. The clip, titled ‘Have a Donut’ features Judy Hopps hot on the trail of Duke Weaselton (Alan Tudyk) as he gives chase through Little Rodentia, offering a great glimpse into how perspective of each animal species’ height comes into play.
In addition to featuring Marlin, Dory and newly introduced pals Hank the Septopus, Destiny the Whale Shark and Bailey the Beluga Whale, we also see returning favorites Squirt, Sheldon and Tad (although Monogram’s product description names Pearl).
However, seen here but not named (presumably identified by ‘Exclusive A’ and ‘Exclusive B’) are what appear to be a sea otter — who has been briefly mentioned in the past — as well as a grumpy looking sea lion.
Just ahead of the New York International Toy Fair which kicks off Saturday, Febuary 13, Disney and Hasbro have shared a first look at the ‘Elena of Avalor’ doll being produced in support of the new animated Disney Junior series. The doll is seen here, held by Aimee Carrero, who voices the title character.
‘Elena of Avalor’ will first appear as part of a crossover episode on ‘Sofia the First’ before launching its own series. It was recently announced that Jenna Ortega will also star as Elena’s younger sister, Princess Isabel; and Chris Parnell, Yvette Nicole Brown and Carlos Alazraqui will voice Migs, Luna and Skylar respectively, magical flying creatures called Jaquins who support Elena as she learns how to rule her kingdom.
