After making its debut during ‘The Story of Frozen: Making An Animated Classic,’ Walt Disney Animation Studios has released the first official clip from its upcoming film, Big Hero 6 (November 7, 2014). The clip, in which Hiro meets nurse robot Baymax for the first time (or ‘Diagnosis: Puberty’), can be found embedded below. The clip originally premiered for an audience during the film’s panel at this past summer’s San Diego Comic-Con.
During tonight’s primetime special, ‘The Story of Frozen: Making An Animated Classic,’ the Walt Disney Company outlined future plans for the franchise, confirming some long withstanding rumors as well as brand new information on how the company plans on building on the successes of the wildly popular film, in addition to the already confirmed Broadway musical production, Disney On Ice’s Frozen on Ice and the upcoming book series from Random House.
ABC Family brings the thrills and chills with ’13Nights of Halloween,’ a celebration filled with scares as you countdown to Halloween. The popular programming event, now in its 16th year, starts Sunday, October 19th and concludes on Friday, October 31st. The fright fest features brand-new Halloween-themed episodes of ‘Melissa & Joey’ and ‘Baby Daddy,’ an all-new ‘Pretty Little Liars’ fan appreciation special, plus the hilariously scary prank specials ‘Freak Out.’ The stunt will also include the network television premieres of ‘Dark Shadows’ and ‘ParaNorman,’ and a ghoulish mix of Halloween-themed programming.
In a whopping 171-page complaint, the Walt Disney Company earlier today filed a ‘Notice of Opposition’ of trademark registration against Ronica Holdings, the corporate identity responsible for staking claim to the logo for the music artist, Deadmau5 (pronounced: Dead Mouse). First reported by Stitch Kingdom back in March, Ronica Holdings now has 40 days to respond to Disney’s claim.
Pictured left are just some of the logos cited in the notice which Disney feels demonstrates their hold on the three — sometimes ‘incomplete’ — circles that compose the silhouette of a mouse head.
Later tonight, at 8:00 pm ET/PT, the ABC television network will air ‘The Story of Frozen: Making an Animated Classic,’ an hour-long special that promises to go behind-the-scenes of what Disney refers to as the most successful animated film at all time.
ABC has provided us with a screener of the television special and we are pleased to report that it was (for the most part) an absolute joy to watch from start to finish. Narrated by Josh Gad (voice of Olaf), the special incorporates interviews with stars Kristen Bell (Anna), Idina Menzel (Elsa) and Jonathan Goff (Kristoff/’Sven’) along with co-directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, songwriters Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, character lead animators Becky Bresee (Anna), Wayne Unten (Elsa), Hyrum Osmond (Olaf), Brittney Lee, producer Peter Del Vecho and John Lasseter.
Short on details, Walt Disney Studios has confirmed its plans to present at the 2014 New York Comic Con on Thursday, October 9, 2014.
Walt Disney Animation Studios presents an exclusive look at their follow-up to last year’s Frozen, Big Hero 6 (November 7, 2014) with directors Don Hall and Chris Williams, producer Roy Conli and special guests. We already know that Scott Adsit, voice of Baymax, will be attending the Comic-Con for other purposes, so it’s likely he too will join the presentation.
