LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — The latest Disney Vacation Club (DVC) property, Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, has opened its doors.

The new resort area includes 60 three-bedroom villa “treehouses,” which are built on pedestals amid forested glens, giving guests great views of surrounding nature.

According to Jim Lewis, president of DVC, the Treehouse Villas add new character to the vacation properties available in the DVC portfolio.

“Our founder Walt Disney was well-known for having one foot in the past and one in the future.  This new resort development shares that dynamic sensibility, blending modern luxury and design with the nostalgic spirit of one of the most storied resorts at the Walt Disney World Resort,” he said.

Corbin Bleu Joins the Disney Channel Stars at Sea on Disney Cruise Line This Summer!

Disney Cruise Line has just announced that Corbin Bleu will be appearing on board as the musical act on the July 9th and July 12th cruises of the Disney Wonder.

On both cruises, Corbin will be joining fellow Disney Channel stars Tiffany Thornton, Brandon Smith and Doug Brochu from Sonny with a Chance and Roshon Fegan from Camp Rock.

Walt Disney World Refurbishment Updates: Hall of Presidents, Old Key West Quiet Pools

Despite presumably being ready for an Annual Passholder and DVC preview in late June, the official re-opening date for the Hall of Presidents has been shifted from July 2 to July 4.

At Old Key West, the Miller’s Road Quiet Pool will be closed from June 15 through June 26 and the South Point Road Quiet Pool will be closed from August 3 through August 21.

Disneyland Paris and Google Take Their Acts to the Streets

Although on the surface it’s not quite as impressive as presenting Disneyland Paris in 3D, the theme park allowed Google to take its Street View car on a tour of Main Street, USA, Adventureland, Fantasyland, Walt Disney Studios and more. As a bonus, the Google team undertook this task in October, as the park celebrates Halloween. So be on the lookout for Halloween decor and pumpkinheaded folk painting the park orange. Disney Orders Third Season of ‘Phineas and Ferb,’ Announces Soundtrack on CD

Disney Channels Worldwide has ordered a third season of the Emmy-nominated hit series “Phineas and Ferb” for its Disney XD and Disney Channel platforms.    Created and executive-produced by Dan Povenmire (“Family Guy”) and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh (“The Simpsons” and “Rocko’s Modern Life”) and featuring a notable voice cast, the series is a production of Walt Disney Television Animation.

In making the announcement, Gary Marsh, president, Entertainment, Disney Channels Worldwide, said: “’Phineas and Ferb’ is the simplest of ideas – two brothers determined to do something unique, something outrageous every single day of their 104 days of summer vacation — and Dan and Swampy have executed it with brilliant comedic flair.”
