Just released by Walt Disney Studios UK is this new trailer for Jerry Bruckheimer’s Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time in which we learn a bit about the dagger of time and what makes it desired so many and how it’s become Dastan’s (Jake Gyllenhaal) destiny to protect it.
Walt Disney Studios will be releasing a new image from TRON Legacy each day every day this week via its Facebook page in honor of the first trailer being released in theaters on Friday.
The first image was released today and features the exterior of the long-neglected Flynn’s Arcade as it stands today. Looking around the streets however, it appears that the economy has not been kind to anyone and the lone person — who just so happens to be Kevin Flynn’s son, Sam (Garrett Hedlund) — probably has no real idea as to what he’s about to get himself into.
Following the success of its Experiment 626 Project in which artists put their unique spins on Stitch-shaped vinyl figures and the recently announced mini-Stitch figures, MINDstyle announced today that it will be releasing a series of figures based on the alien from Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story series. According to the graphic, we can expect the invasion to begin in early summer.

As we first reported back in December, WABC-TV, a member of the Disney/ABC Television Group (DATG) had begun preparing for a standoff with Cablevision in New York as its retransmission contract comes up for negotiations by registering for a series of domain names which had inadvertently put its agenda on public display for a couple of hours until we brought to the public’s attention.
Tonight, just before the season finale of The Bachelor began, WABC-TV ran a commercial in New York City taking an offensive stance, showing a montage of television programming carried by the station, including local news, which would potentially be lost if Cablevision opts to remove WABC-TV from its lineup.
Guests visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom are getting a special treat along the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail where they can get a rare glimpse of a newborn gorilla born Feb. 19. The critically endangered western lowland gorilla, whose gender is still unknown, is doing well and has already become an integral member of the gorilla family group which includes first-time mother, Kashata, father Gino, and two other females, Benga and Hope.
Members of the primate team at Disney’s Animal Kingdom are encouraged by Kashata’s natural instincts at motherhood. First-time mothers often experience difficulty knowing the right things to do. They must learn to properly hold the baby and adapt to a demanding nursing schedule. “Kashata has been a model mother from the moment the baby was born, said Matt Hohne, animal operations director for Disney’s Animal Programs. “She immediately knew how to properly hold the baby and her nursing skills have been exemplary.”
The marina at the Marketplace District in Downtown Disney is currently closed and is expected to re-open sometime in mid-March on an unspecified date.
The Baby Care Center in Magic Kingdom is currently scheduled to be closed from May 14 through May 21.

Walt Disney Studios has just begun airing a new television commercial for Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. In addition to much of the footage previously released, the new tv ad shows a bit of footage from ‘the real world’ towards the beginning of the film in which Alice must face her fate shortly before spotting a well dressed rabbit.
While it lasts, here’s the teaser for Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Tangled (a.k.a. Rapunzel) expected to be included on the blu-ray/dvd for The Princess and the Frog. The film, which opens in limited release on November 12, stars Many Moore and Zachary Levi.
